Is the adhesive on the xyron sticker maker strong enough for cardmaking?

Hello! I was gifted one of these and wanted to know if it can be used for cardmaking, or if the glue is too flimsy for that application

Sharing at the Festival (My Art)

Love the two of them! They are so chill together. I drew this awhile ago but wanted to share it here!

A couple more cards made from random packaging (out of season, I know)

A gift bag I received was ripped, so I used the patterned paper to make the first card. I probably should’ve taken a photo of the bag lol.

The second was from a pretty box of soap which I disassembled. I still need ideas on what to use that mushroom pattern for.

Closing sequence of the anime compared to the manga

The anime only adopts an abridged version of the first two and a half books (out of seventeen) of the manga, which means that the conclusion is very different. Whereas the manga ends with Serge and Gilbert's attempts to build a new life in Paris gradually sliding into ruin, >!culminating in Gilbert's death!<, the anime ends when their relationship is only beginning to blossom. However, the ending sequence of the anime still does a good job of capturing the emotional impact of the manga's ending by the device of framing the entire story as Serge's own memories of Gilbert, which he reminisces about while visiting Lacombrade Academy a few years after the story's conclusion. Afterwards, walking through the school grounds, he sees an image of Gilbert than flies away and rapidly disappears, which is exactly what Serge sees at the end of Volume 17 of the manga when >!he finally comes to terms with the fact that Gilbert is gone; in both cases this image represents the fact that although Gilbert passed away from Serge's life so quickly, he will always remain in Serge's heart. !<This is not a happy ending, of course, but at least it brings some comfort after the horrible events of the past few volumes and allows the reader to extract some positive feelings from the end of the story.

It’s 2026 and I still love the look of the original Cardcaptor Sakura anime😂

I don’t know what it is, but I still find the art style of older anime so comforting. Cardcaptor Sakura is one of my favorite examples, and I feel the same way about other anime from that era, like Crayon Shin-chan.

The image quality isn’t as sharp or polished as modern anime, but somehow it feels softer, warmer, and more relaxing to look at.

How to make liquid glue not look awful? I was told it was the only way to make a card “durable”

I have only been using a glue stick thus far, but then when I looked up cardmaking info online it was stated that would result in cards that fell apart after just a few months. I tried using liquid glue but it resulted in this awful wrinkling of the paper, and made the outer layer I planned to glue on after bend as well. Am I making a huge error somewhere? Should I just return to using a gluestick?
