I'm watching the anime for the first time after years of putting it off and I don't know whether or not to continue watching. I'm currently in the Dark tournament arc (EP 29) and the show isn't grabbing my attention as much as other anime have? Am I getting closer to what everyone hypes this anime over or is it just not for me? Also I know the dark tournament arc is known to be a fantastic arc and I was giving the anime a chance until the arc.

I've finished the dark tournament arc and I'm enamored with this old school vibe the anime has. Every scene being hand drawn frame by frame, how expressive the characters are, the amazing ost that emphasizes every scene. It's a joy watching an anime that's filled with soul and intention. I'd like to hear some reccomendations for old school anime that have a strong vibe like yuyu hakusho. I don't care if the anime isn't similar at all in terms of plot or structure to yyh as long as there is a strong artistic vision.

One episode ends with a hell of a cliffhanger: Sensui doing a kick and the credits roll mid-kick.

Next episode continues with the landing of that kick.

Now imagine back in the days when you'd have to wait another 24 hours or several days after the mid-kick cliffhanger. What a suspense and what a way to hook viewers in.

No wonder it's so famous in my country.

Yesterday evening I finished the anime for the 2nd time (after plenty of years) and I think it needs 1 extra episode.

I love the slice of life parts of the shonen, so I would love to see at least an extra episode of what people is doing after Yusuke comes back. On the last episode we see everyone else life, but I want to know how Yusuke adapts again to the human world and what does he do. No fights, no stakes, no dangers... just Yusuke being human again.
