I love Dragon Ball, but I do strongly feel that any future releases need some minor modifications for acceptability

There is one thing I think all of us draggable fans can agree on, we don’t like censorship. I hated one day try to edit the language or the blood. But there’s one thing that should absolutely be edited and that’s the unacceptable nudity.

Most of nudity are with under age characters, like Kid Goku, or Gohan, or Trunks. There is no purpose in showing these characters private areas, and all future publications if they want to publish or re-episode should be edited to remove that.

Keep everything else in the gore of violence, the language, but they need to go on their apps right now and edit some of that stuff away. If Crunchyroll airs these episodes unedited it’s basically like airing CP and that’s not acceptable.

We as a fan base must speak out and let these companies know this is what we demand!

Janeway has no business judging Ransom

OK, I get this is a controversial take, but please hear me out. I believe what Captain Ransom did was wrong. I also love Janeway, but she’s a very morally gray character just like Sisko. Now to my arguments.

In today’s day and age humans use animals all the time, and that’s what he was doing. Ransom was desperate to get his crew home, they were in a nova class starship. His number one duty was to protect the lives of his crew. A nova class isn’t making the journey back to the alpha under normal circumstances.

It’s very morally gray, but the episode portrays Janeway as his great moral figure, let’s look at some of her morality:

  1. Executing to Tuvix in cold blood while he was begging for his life.

  2. Violating the prime directive by destroying the caretakers array stranding her crew in the Delta quadrant. Here’s the thing if Janeway felt so strongly about it. She should’ve stayed behind in the shuttle and let her crew go home.

  3. Attempting to execute a member of the equinox during interrogation.

  4. Creating and giving the borg a nano virus to combat species 8472. When it was the borg who invaded their space.

  5. Before she even knew what was going on ordering the equinox destroyed so that she would have unchallenged authority. What would happen with Ransom would she treat him like a lieutenant?

Dietlinde Eckhart crush despite political differences

Does anyone else have a crush on Dietlinde Eckhart? She is hot, smart, with a kind smile. I don’t agree with her politics but couples can disagree.

Alex Kurtzman out at Star Trek!?

I would love to get your thoughts, but this sounds like confirmation that they’re gonna move in a different direction.

**From the interview of Jane Wiseman (**EVP & Head of Originals for Paramount+)

WISEMAN: It is our goal and it is our job to figure out what the next bounce of Star Trek is. We’re talking to a lot of writers, we are leaning on CBS Studios, and it is imperative that we figure out what the next iteration is in this franchise because it’s just too important. We also are in touch with Paramount Pictures, they have a Star Trek movie that’s in development.

A Fair Look at Gul Dukat

First, I want to start by saying that the Bajoran occupation was completely wrong. However, people unfairly paint Dukat like the whole thing was his idea and treat him like he’s this Hitler-type figure. That is simply inaccurate.

  1. Dukat administered the occupation, he didn't create it. He was assigned to manage an occupation that had already been going on for 50 years before he took over as Prefect.
  2. Dukat was kinder to the Bajorans than previous administrators. Under his command, child labor was abolished and food rations were increased. Within just one month of his administration, the death rate fell by nearly 50%.
  3. Dukat may have saved Kira’s life. We learn that Kira’s mother had a relationship with Dukat and fell in love with him. As a result, her family was given extra rations and provisions, meaning Kira might not have even survived childhood without Dukat’s generosity.
  4. Dukat truly loved his daughter. A purely evil, practical man would have killed her to protect his career. Instead, he brought her back and claimed her, losing everything in the process. His love for his daughter cost him his political standing, his marriage, and ultimately landed him on a renegade Bird-of-Prey.
I’m not saying he was perfect, but we need to stop treating this man like he was just some kind of monster.

A fair look: Rick Berman versus Alex Kurtzman

The Alex Kurtzman era will likely come to an end at the end of this year when his contract expires. I know he’s a very divisive figure right now, but how do you think he compares with Rick Berman?

I think Alex is the anti-Rick Berman in both good ways and bad.

Rick Berman himself said that he thought the economy and the ideology of some parts of Star Trek were nonsense, but he maintained them because he felt it was his duty to carry on Gene's lore and vision.

Alex Kurtzman, I truly believe, believes in many of the ideals of Star Trek, such as diversity. But I think he views the lore as something that gets in the way of his creative vision, not something to be honored.

I think Rick was conservative by nature (I’m not talking politics) as a storyteller. Ira had to constantly fight him on DS9; Rick wanted the Dominion War to be wrapped up in two episodes. Eventually, with Voyager's debut, Rick kind of let Ira do what he wanted for the most part and turned his attention to Voyager. Voyager constantly played it safe. They did as little as possible with the crew division, and he aborted the idea for a season-long "Year of Hell" arc, condensing it into a two-parter. Deep conflicts between characters were avoided. There were always hints of a dislike between Chakotay and Tuvok, but it was never really explored.

Star Trek: Enterprise was the nail in his coffin. Going back to a prequel, he basically played it safe until the show looked like it was going to be canceled. Then he decided to turn Jonathan Archer into George W. Bush and tried to mirror the War in Iraq. The show was canceled after its fourth season. The Next Generation was by far his biggest hit, but critically, it’s Deep Space Nine—which Rick had very little to do with, that stands out in this era of Trek.

Alex Kurtzman, in many ways, is the exact opposite. He doesn’t play it safe, and he has no regard for the traditional norms of Star Trek. His first major show, Star Trek: Discovery, centered the entire series not around the crew, but around a single character named Michael Burnham. Michael was portrayed almost like a mythical, perfect figure even when she’s wrong, she’s right, and the universe revolves around her. While captains were very much the leads of previous Star Trek shows, those series still featured a lot of other characters. If you didn’t like Michael, there was no way you were going to like Discovery, which was canceled after five seasons. Strange New Worlds was much more of a traditional Star Trek show, but with the Kurtzman twist: canon-breaking, puppets, and musicals. It built both a strong fanbase and a group of people who grew tired of it, though I would say it was not as divisive as Discovery.

Alex did other shows that were all experimental: Section 31, and Picard Seasons 1 and 2. Like Ira with DS9, Terry Matalas was the showrunner for Season 3 of Picard, which is by far the most popular of all of Alex’s works. And just like Rick had little to do with DS9, Alex had little to do with Season 3 of Picard.

Just like Star Trek: Enterprise was the conservative death knell for Rick Berman, Starfleet Academy was the outside-the-box death knell for Alex Kurtzman, a Star Trek show that really didn’t feel like a Star Trek show. It felt closer to a CW drama, losing casual Star Trek viewers while failing to generate new ones.

Before I give you my final thought, I also want to point out both of them as bosses. Rick was seen as arrogant and aloof, and he had multiple issues with female actresses. I have not heard anyone ever say a bad thing about Alex Kurtzman; all I hear is that he is a great boss. One of the actors in Star Trek: Section 31 openly told Alex to his face that he disagreed with the direction he was going in. Alex didn’t punish or blacklist him he just explained his perspective that he felt Star Trek was dying and needed to attract a new audience. You can disagree with his vision, but from everything we hear, he’s a great guy. He even paid staffers out of his own pocket during COVID.

Ultimately, both men had their positives and negatives. I prefer Rick Berman in charge of Star Trek, but his ultraconservative nature limited the show. Alex I prefer as a person and a boss, but I don’t think he cares enough about the lore of Star Trek, even though I do think he believes in its ideals.

How come Gohan went from adorable to scary looking

It’s kind of hard to believe that these are the same two character. Obviously there’s a time gap but that’s not what I mean.

Marina Sirtis or Diana Troi

Marina Sirtis seems like the complete opposite of her character personality wise. I don’t mean that as a negative.

I got a chance to meet her once, her snarkiness (playful way) was amazing. She’s definitely one who will say what’s on her mind.

And her interviews are so refreshing to listen to. Cause you know you’re actually getting the real deal. She flat out, said that she refused to participate in Nana Visitor (who I also adore) Book because she wasn’t doing stuff like that for free.

While, she doesn’t put out dirty laundry, she alluded to some tensions with other cast members. And also, although she blasted her fellow TNG cast mates for not being there for her when her husband died (With the exception of Frankes and Dorn), and told it to them to their faces, although they’re still close.

I get the total opposite vibe from the super kind/proper Troi. Although I do think later on Marina did try to add a little bit more of her actual personality into the character.

I would rather marry Diana, but I would prefer to be friends with Marina.

Do atheist avoid debates with thought leaders like Sye Ten Bruggencate

So there’s a debate of him, debating an atheist named Matt. And in my view, Matt looked very poorly in the debate. He was visibly flustered and frustrated. However, I noticed somebody the atheist commentators thought that Matt managed to get the better of him. And while I disagree, it does lead to an interesting question and the reason I’m pointing it out here is, I do want to get your take as atheist debaters.

Is it easier for you all to debate Someone firm like Kent Hoven Jr, or a scientific expert like Ken Ham, rather than Sye?

The reason I’m asking is it seemed that with sigh because presuppositism It’s hard to break Sye out of his point. But it also goes both ways because it’s harder to convert atheist simply using a Sye argument.

At the same time with someone like Ken Ham he could talk science with someone all day, You may disagree on certain conclusions, but you’re speaking the same language. Anyways, just wanted to get the takes of people who are used to debating in favor of atheism.

Sound guy tries to do a power trip on William Shatner… and pays dearly

This was legendary everyone. That sound guy jerk was so arrogant. I’m glad Mr. Shatner put it in his place. I’m still laughing.

The thing is, Mr. Shatner is very easy to work with and does take direction. He wrote it to his book that while he was filming Star Trek 5, He was so concerned about directing he was rushing his lines. One of the people on set told him that, It wasn’t a high ranking person.

He said he looked at it and realized they were right. That’s the thing He’s very open to feedback but you have to know what you’re talking about. If you come at him with nonsense, well this is what happens.

If Voyager had continued for a couple more seasons, how do you think the beta quadrant would’ve been different than a delta quadrant?

I think the writer said by the time Voyager ended. They were right on the line and about to cross over. They debated whether to do an episode about the crossing over, but held off since the series was nearly over and it would create confusion. Their flight plan if they would’ve kept going, if they would’ve eventually hit the Romulan star empire from the opposite side of the Federation.

Tomo’s true hair color

Am I crazy? I always thought that her hair was purple. But online it says either her hair is black or brown. What color hair do you think Tomo has? I could honestly see arguments for all three depending on thr lighting when you see her.

The image is from the manga, is a clip from the anime that’s been saturated up. With full saturation, it looks like her hair is purple.

Conton City Tournament Permanent in the future?

I know they’re not coming out with any more DLC for the game, but with the total focus by the dev team on the third game, I hope they make the tournament a permanent part of the game, and not just linked to online randomness on when it’s available.

It’s not fair if others aren’t able to get the Supreme Kai of Time because she’s locked behind the event they will never be able to access

Switch 1 User Sad That We Have To Wait for Sparkling Zero’s Neo DLC

The only thing I owned is a switch lite, I should be grateful to have the game at all, which I am. I don’t care about graphics, but I do wish that we could get to DLC at the same time everyone else does.
