I have seen less cringy porn parodies than this episode

I'm rewatching TNG after like a decade and while it wasn't a surprise that the first season is rough around the edges this episode still managed to surprise me. I don't often feel physically ill when watching bad television, but this scene really takes the cake. Whomever felt necessary to come up with Tasha's I was continuously raped between 5 and 15 and therefore let's have fun line should have been put on a rocket on a one-way trip to deep space well before dying from natural causes.

I don't even mind that the kid saved the day at the end, I'm just annoyed by the shoddiness of the whole the ship can't move, because it's missing a bunch of computer chips from a panel and oh no, a clump of star matter is heading for us thing, because that's definitely the danger when a star explodes right next to you.

Kudos to the actors trying so hard to sell the awful writing. Poor Denise Crosby really drew the shortest straw on this one and the whole show really. What were they thinking coming up with the same character twice for her and Michael Dorn?

Twilight Zone "22" Amok Time Connection and a less obvious to Cause and Effect

So I have seen this episode a bunch of times but connection one is a favorite access and connection two is a bit different.... Twenty Two is the name of the episode , s02e17

So the episode which aired in 1961 is a bout a woman in the hospital and she keeps waking up in the middle of the night compelled to take the elevator down to the basement and a stunning nurse with black hair and those amazing eyebrows pops out of the morgue and says "Room For One More, Honey" - I finally connected today , after seeing the episode multiples times over the past 2 or 3 decades that the nurse was non other than Arlene Martel (T'Pring Amok Time) - I posted in the ST sub but no images is a bummer , especially when talking about Arlene, RIP 💗

Ok, the other connection . So the woman keeps waking up or perhaps she is in a waking nightmare and reaches for a glass of water on her nightstand. The glass gets knocked to the floor and breaks. But this repeats every night, and even when she tries to avoid it , the glass eventually breaks anyway. The writers of Cause and Effect have had to have gotten the Crusher scenes from this episode .... the similarities are jarring

Anyway, if you have access to the episode , I highly recommend it . The episode also stars a younger Jonathan Harris from Lost in Space

Thoughts on Allegiance

I recently rewatched Allegiance after a while and I think Picard was way too hard on the abductors. Yes he was kidnapped but they even stated correctly he was in no danger and was for pure curiosity. They never showed aggression or ill intent either, almost child like in their demeaner. Not to mention their incredible technology of cloning and teleportation and also their telepathy. Just seemed like a wasted opportunity for knowledge and a future ally to be dismissed in such an un-Picard manner.

Riker flirts with Marvel's green alien Gamora

RIKER: Well, well. We don’t get too many green goddesses aboard the Enterprise. You must be new in this quadrant.
GAMORA: And you must be the reason everyone else avoids this quadrant.
RIKER: I assure you, I’m much more charming after a second drink.
GAMORA: That’s not a selling point, that’s a warning label.
RIKER: You know, I’ve negotiated peace with Romulans, defused plasma bombs, and even resisted Q.
GAMORA: And yet on some level your sense of manliness depends more on this challenge.
GUINAN: He’s like that. Thinks flirting is a diplomatic maneuver.
RIKER: Hey, diplomacy is about mutual benefit.
GAMORA: Where I’m from, we don’t flirt. We spar.
RIKER: I can adapt. You like Bat’leths or candlelight?
GAMORA: I like silence. You could try that.
GUINAN: She means it, Will. I haven’t heard about that much disinterest since Geordi had to listen to Data’s kiddilee joke.
RIKER: So… no chance we share a bottle of Chateau Picard and talk about the stars?
GAMORA: I am looking at one right now. It’s collapsing under its own ego.
GUINAN: Will, you might consider a tactical retreat before the supernova.
RIKER: Fine, fine. I’ll beam out. Just wanted to make a friend. (Leaves)
GAMORA: He can make one out of his reflection. It seems to love him back.
GUINAN: He’s a jazz musician, honey. Every woman’s an improvisation.

GAMORA: I call it playing the same note on the guitar until someone smashes it into the amp.

1991 Sony Watchman FDL-K400

Initially the display was unwatchable, but it got progressively better over the course of about half an hour to the point that it's watchable. It's sort of like watching a worn out SLP VHS tape recorded from a broadcast recieved by rabbit ears. I've got it hooked up to a digital media player over composite. I think it needs a recap, but I'm not skilled enough to do that, so hopefully I can find someone to give it some TLC.

Best of both worlds (Part 2.5?) seems a bit odd they didn’t explore more of Picard recovering from the Borg Implants.l

He went from a full on assimilated Borg and was the. in his uniform in his ready room 5 (show) minutes later. Pretty much all healed up. I feel like they could have done 1 if not 2 more episodes on Picards recovery, Picard thanking them for their attempts to rescue him, etc… just seems like a missed opportunity to go in depth on the main characters physical recover

Every so often I think about what the Romulans showed Geordi

I can’t recall if the Romulans were into torture and mutilation like the Cardassians, but whatever he was shown always makes me feel uneasy.

Always like to imagine Riker is thinking "Oh boy here I go f*cking my way out of another jam!"

I mean just look at that face.

FUTURE IMPERFECT

Captain Riker standing beside Lt.-Commander Worf. Image courtesy trekcore.com

Does anyone know where I can find an image of this Main Bridge of the ENTERPRISE-D without anyone at their stations?? I've checked DeviantArt, Wiki, etc., and I'm still incapable for finding one. I ought to clarify that this is for the purpose of my DC UNIVERSE REBIRTH fanfic novel series BRUCE BRIEN'S STAR TREK: ENDURANCE - JLA.

Sidenote: This is my personal favourite Main Bridge of the ENTERPRISE-D. IDK if that's a hotter take than the GENERATIONS Main Bridge; but just thought I'd throw that out there, in case someone decides to crucify me in the comments.

"You will now answer to the charge of being a grievously savage race!"

Q is back to give Picard a headache in another little scene from my Lego Enterprise-D set - instructions are available on Rebrickable. It was fun researching the available Lego parts to make this version of Q based on his outfit in Encounter at Farpoint. Appropriately, the red robe comes from a judge minifigure!

I may need to design a more appropriate set to display Judge Q... Watch this space! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the minifigure.
