Im taking RTEC-A-8548, CHEM-20-137, APHY-34A-1040 I already look on rate my professor but was wondering what were yalls holy grales for these classes? What would you say I can skip buying and what's absolutely necessary? Also study tips appreciated. This is my fist semester that "actually matters" (it's all the classes that affect my point in rtec aplication)

This school is genuinely a nightmare when it comes to financial aid, I have been missing a pell grant for the spring 2026 semester since MARCH and the only thing the office can tell me is that they’re investigating it but never follow up further and its been months. Has anyone else had an issue like this? $3,697 of my fafsa owed to me for the past 5-6 months and still nada🫠

Hi so i was wondering if it is possible to be accepted into a class while you’re number 10 on the waitlist? Or does elco not accept many people on the waitlist?

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm banging my head against the wall (figuratively).

El Camino only sends transcripts via Certree now. NursingCAS specifically states that they only accept transcripts sent via Parchment or National Clearinghouse.

A Certree customer service agent told me that it was 100% possible & to just put the NursingCAS email as a recipient. Thank god I double checked this because two NursingCAS customer service agents told me that was COMPLETELY FALSE.

NursingCAS said that the only way to send my transcripts from ElCo is to have the official El Camino registrar send it physically or to a specific email. El Camino will not send my transcript via email because I have to fill out a form. The only way for me to get my transcript sent now is to come in person or send a LETTER with the form.

It's extremely inconvenient for me to come in person but possible. If I wasn't able to come in person I would be completely screwed. I cannot believe El Camino's incompetence in switching from the established transcript companies to whatever the fuck Certree is without ensuring that Certree is widely accepted.

Does anybody know if the cosmetology school offers low cost beauty services? Looking for some esthetician services, maybe a nice shampoo and hair doo.

Hi! I’m incoming freshman and am taking this class next Monday. I got an email to purchase textbooks required by certain classes and was wondering if I should wait in case they actually don’t need it or go ahead and buy it anyway? The cost is so expensive and I’m unsure what to do (even for rental).

What should i bring to the event tomorrow? Should i be bringing a bag with my laptop, pencils/pens, and a notebook? im a first year so im kinda lost on how to prepare

I’m getting an AS on Ochem and the requirements match a mathematics AS as well as I believe general science am I able to stack degrees to get them at the same time

I borrowed a laptop for my summer class and there was already a small crack on the side of the computer that slowly grew into the laptop beginning to separate every time I opened it. I have no clue what to do because the crack was there when I first got the laptop and I have never dropped it or used it in a way that could damage it. Will I have to pay 500 bucks + or is there a lower cost? It doesn’t seem like a costly repair. Should I go to a local repair store?

hi, i recently transferred to elco and im wondering when my classes will show on canvas since none are on canvas rn

I’m an incoming freshman so this is all new to me, the Elco bookstore website says I need “Calculus, Early Transcendentals” for math 190 and “Emotional Life of Your Brain” for English c1000.

Do most people get digital or physical books? I don’t mind either so I’m just wondering what people prefer!
