How to ult with Emma

Lately I've been learning to flex more and more often onto tank and typically I pick Emma because her kit is just way more fun than all the other tanks imo. I usually main strat and sit around GM rank, but see my winrate skyrocketing now that I have incorporated emma frost into my games as well.

The only problem I have with her is that I feel like my ults are very subpar and very rarely get kills. could any of you veterans on emma help me out and give some tips on how to best utilize this ult?

Questions about playing Emma Frost

Sup! I have recently been playing a lot of Emma Frost and I wanted to ask you Frosts (Queens?) about some things.

First, when is the best time to use her ult? I’ve mainly been using it to stop support ult pushing and some DPS ult countering but is there a better time I should use it?

Second, which team up is the best in the most scenarios? I’ve been using the mantis one primarily but should I use the Luna one more often? It is an extra shield and can be used to kick people into but is the mantis one just better all around?

Any advice would be greatly appreciate as well but those are the two burning questions I have.

Addendum: is the pirate skin a disadvantage cause of the large cape lol?

Emma being ripped off again

The devs are not beating the allegations that they hate Emma

Not only did they butcher this Hellfire Gala look of hers and turned it into the Queen of Diamonds abomination skin, but they straight up ripped off her Gala dance moment with Cyclops and turned it into a Jean x Scott emote instead.

Wonder if they’re ever gonna add this skin

even tho in rivals they’re ex-spouses it’d still be nice to have a wedding skin for them…am i saying this just for emma? obviously lol but look at that beautiful dress 🥹 is rivals gonna rivalize it? most likely but i still want it. i feel like if they do add it they will somehow try to show skin not only to “sexualize” but to show you when she turns into diamond form which is what people cry about that don’t play her apparently.

This is still Emma’s best skin imo

i got all her other skins but this one to me still has the best outfit and face, the others just don’t do it for me for some reason and it’s probably the only face that looks good on her default mvp which i prefer to use. here’s to hoping the eventually lock in and start making good consistent skins for our “fashion icon”

What Car would Emma drive ?

Honestly Emma gives me the vibe of a classic car enjoyer i saw a reel of someone saying Emma would drive a G Wagon but i feel thats too new money and tackey for her taste and Emma is rich but doesn't fit the whole G Wagon girl stereotype, i feel she would drive an old Ferrari Testarossa or a Mercedes 300SL these are just my opinions as a car guy let me know what cars you think she would love

Is Mantis or Luna ult better?

I might play more Emma, because all my other tanks suck. I like the Luna one more simply for the combo, but maybe they are better in different situations.

Emma’s ult is so easily countered it’s frustrating

It’s so situational it makes my head hurt and you get all the time in the world to run behind a walls if there’s a mag or strange your ult feels useless. But then wf and invis also have shields and hulk can bubble his whole team and everyone has enough mobility to pls to escape it easily.

Obviously ults should have counters but like you get a huge warning before Emma ults and the time to get mind controlled is long as well.

Idk why it doesn’t silence abilities too while it’s hitting you.
