I'm really excited about this one because I've been brainstorming about it for weeks. I saw a post once that said "Turn your broken heart into art," so that's what I'm doing. I decided to take something deeply personal and create a piece of jewelry that other people experiencing similar things can identify with. It's not just a necklace; it's a story.
Just a little art piece for 2 important people in my life. A hand drawn, hand painted layered shadow box with fluorite mushrooms and glowing stars. Engraved and cut with a laser. Thanks for checking out my art! ✨
My best friend asked if I could create something special for her wedding invitations.
Instead of using generic illustrations, I painted every guest individually from the photos she sent me. In total, there are around 50 hand-painted portraits, along with illustrations of the venue and decorative elements to tie everything together.
The portraits were painted digitally using the reference photos, while the overall design combines digital painting with other creative tools for composition and layout.
It was by far the biggest illustration project I've ever worked on, and I wanted to share a few details from the finished invitation.
I'd love to hear your thoughts or feedback as an illustrator—especially on the portraits and the overall composition.
The first thing that caught my eye was the bright red dress.
A little girl with long hair, hands on her hips, standing proudly in the center of the page. ❤️👗
The drawing isn't detailed, but somehow it's so her.
Kids have this wonderful confidence:
"I'm wearing my pretty dress today. I'm the main character."
That's exactly why we turned her drawing into a pendant.
Not to "improve" her artwork.
Not to make it look more professional.
We wanted to preserve it exactly as she saw herself—the confidence, the pride, the innocence, and the imagination.
I've realized that the most valuable part of a child's drawing isn't the artistic skill.
It's the way they're quietly telling you:
"This is who I am, and I like myself this way."
One day she'll probably stop drawing herself in bright red dresses.
But for now, I can keep this version of her close to my heart—a tiny reminder of childhood that will never fade. ✨
Has anyone else turned their child's artwork into something they can keep forever? I'd love to hear your stories.

I found an old piece of wire in my craft box and started bending it without any plan. At first I kept trying to make something perfect, but the wire had other ideas. Every time I "fixed" one curve, another curve popped up somewhere else.
After about twenty minutes, I stopped fighting it and just followed where it wanted to go. Now it sits on my shelf looking like a tiny tangled thought that somehow found its balance. Not gonna lie, it feels a lot like my life lately. Funny how the random projects end up meaning the most.
Made this custom birthday card for one of my best friends a while ago. She loves Harley-Davidsons, so I illustrated her on her dream bike and finished the card with gold leaf for a handcrafted touch.
Personalized gifts will always mean more to me than anything off the shelf.
**If I’m free, I’m probably sculpting**😆😉
