Will the “A New World” update come to PC ?
Will the update that came to mobile that added more factions into the game come to PC ? I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t as I bet the larger player base is on pc
Will the mobile update ever come to PC ?

Integrated artillery, or grand batteries? What is your favorite artillery formation?
Integrated artillery is when your cannons are spread throughout the main line, with line infantry in between each battery. Grand batteries, which Napoleon Bonaparte used, are when your cannons (or most of them anyway) are grouped into one and the full force of their might is directed to a specific unit/area (but not always, sometimes you target different groups).
I feel like integrated artillery is great if you plan to use canister shot; line infantry on both flanks also protect it. But grand batteries are great too because a full barrage from a grand battery has a better chance of damaging specific areas/units. But integrated artillery often feels like my line is more static and less maneuverable.
Which battery type is your favorite? Which seems to be most efficient? I always felt cannons were fairly ineffective at long range unless you were firing at cavalry. Canister shot is massively efficient at short range, so integrated artillery sounds best. However, I typically have two batteries, one on each flank, which aims for enemy cav at long distance. They can't be flanked because I have cavalry in reserve to intercept any would-be flankers.
Been playing since 2011 and this is the first time these bitches ask for peace on their own
reddit.comI need help with capturing ships.
Hey peeps, I’ve got the mobile version and have gotten pretty good at the game. The only problem I’ve with the game is that I cannot capture ships. I know how to use the chain and grape shots properly, tried different approaches during battles, and have double checked with the tutorial. It doesn’t work. The only time capturing a ship ever works is when I do that sea warfare tutorial. Even then the game only allows me to keep one.
I have noticed that in the campaign when I board the enemy, it doesn’t matter how many or few numbers the crew has. They never lower their nation’s flag and the ship’s icon will permanently flash white. At that point I cannot interact with that ship for the remainder of the battle.
Is this a glitch that’s never been fixed? At this point, I’d be happy with just catching sloops.
How to maximise income from trade nodes?
As the title says what’s the trick with maximising profit from nodes? For example I’ve got 4 full stacks of merchant ships, 1 in each trade theatre as shown above. Is that the best way or shall I keep trying to fill every node with more ships?
What's your go to city defense garrison to defend against a doom stack when you can't afford a stack of your own?
In medieval 2, with some archers and some spearmen you can basically keep enemies trapped in the gate and farm the whole enemy army, in this game I'm struggling with my economy because I have to keep nearly full stacks in cities to have a real chance of defending against a doom stack
What is your guys go to strategy and troop composition for defending against large armies with less than half a stack?
What’s the best army composition ?
Personally I got for 4 units of line infantry, 2 grenadiers, two cannons (not howitzers), two cavalry and then two dragoons for a standard army. If for a bigger army I go for 2 more cannons and some more grenadiers or line infantry
Best mod "Empire II for total war empire" (Warning very addicting)
This mod really upgraded the vanilla from a 10/10 experience upto 100/100 there are so many new units, they made the flags more accurate graphics improvements, bug fixes, and improvements to the ai to play more well they revamped the whole game to a new one, they also made it historically accurate, they increased the unit sizes from standard 180 to 200 troops to 240 to 350 (note it becomes laggy when multiple unit are in melee) , and added 4600+ units with different varieties and specialities. The sounds are also so satisfying to hear , they also added Napoleoonic units to the game so you wouldn't get bored in the late game. While the game has so many pros there are also cons
Loading time is long and sometimes very long
And as you know there are bugs from the vanilla version that aren't fixed in this mode it's also prone to crash and it can be very laggy,my midrange phone tecno camon 30 premier struggles with it a little bit
But I know it's optimized to other high end devices and some mid range. The artilleries are very OP can kill half the units soldiers with a great hit
If your phone can't handle it there's a more uptimized very with the rehaul of the mod named: Empire II reimagined.
Try the mod I guarantee you'll be addicted
The Summer I Won the Sea
By the grace of Sultan Mustafa II of the Ottoman Empire, I, Sultan Mehmed I, Bey of Beys, ascended the throne of the Three Regencies, Tunis, Algiers and Tripoli in the summer of 1700.
The Barbary States, as the infidels call my property, have little to offer in terms of agriculture or industry. Or towns. Or any other notable resources to mention.
We are a seaborne people, and we … sail under the black flag, that is. An Ottoman Protectorate doing piracy against the infidels for the Sublime Port.
So in the summer of 1700 I told my diwan that one should do what one’s best at. And we happen to be the best at pirating.
To the east, our brethren and former overlord, the Ottoman Empire. To the West, our neighbours Morocco facing Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar. We have every reason to nurture our good relationship with them, primarily because we have no army whatsoever.
And my slaves in the three elayets, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli, don’t make as disciplined soldiers as the infidels do. Furthermore, our people are dumb, we are not into the art of cannon casting or shipbuilding beyond xebecs. We cannot build those 5th rate frigates that can capture a dozen ships and sail off ready for the next engagement.
But we HAD three of those beasts already.
Amir-al-bahr Abdulaziz’ Nizamieh, near Surt, Tripolitania; Amir-al-bahr Osmani’s Tursun Osman, between Tunis and Valletta; and Amir-al-bahr Al-Suri’s Hignau Mustafa north of Tunis.
It was well known that only four other 5th-rates were sailing in the Mediterranean at the time.
Amir-al-bahr Gerakiris’ flagship of the Ottoman Empire, accompanied by a couple of galleys in the Aegean.
Admiral Malfatti’s San Michele Arcangelo, the flagship of the Venetian Republic with a 6th-rate frigate, the Valor Coronato, and a brig, east of Ravenna.
Admiral Scarpa’s Giove, the flagship of the Genoan Republic, with a sloop near Porto Maurizio.
Admiral Torricelli’s Dolphin, the flagship of the Knights of St John, leading two 6th rates, the Valiant and the Leopard, and a brig.
Beyond that naval setup, Venice had three light galleys near Morea, France a brig and sloop near Marseille, and Spain had a fleet this side of Gibraltar, Admiral de Castaneta’s galleon supported by a brig.
The plan was clear: three Amir-al-bahrs against three Admirals. Abdulaziz sailed off to give battle to Torricelli, Osmani engaged Malfatti in the Adriatic, and Al-Suri hit Scarpa near Porto Maurizio. All three battles succeeded in killing the enemy admirals, and capturing all ships.
The frigates have been kept in service, lesser ships sold off. The now six Barbary frigates headed for Surt, the Shipyards of Oran and Safaqis being demolished to make room for trading ports instead.
We then started to build up our own diplomacy. All the infidels, who call themselves Christians, were at war with us. We made trade agreements with our land neighbours, as well as the Mughal Empire and Persia via Surt. So relying on the fat prize money income if the season, I made peace with Spain. It took 4800, but then we can now be safer about our trade routes which run through the Strait of Gibraltar. We burnt up Valencia before we did, but once they repair it we can do a Trade Agreement as well. We are reasonable maritime entrepreneurs.
The future definitely lies behind the Strait. We now rule the Mediterranean. The three new frigates will stay to guard it, the three original Amir-al-Bahrs will sail off and see what else we can grab.
Once thing is four sure: after a summer, we now have six of the world’s twenty 5th rates. Which means there are fourteen more out there and nobody has the ability to build more.
Put it down, scribe, I want to be known as Mehmed the Collector. Sultan of the Seven Seas.
