Enter Shikari - The Flick Of A Switch I. (Live) - The Forum, Melbourne - 17 May 2026
Great!
I SEEEEE YOOOOUUUUU!

Great!
I SEEEEE YOOOOUUUUU!
I’ll try to limit the setlist spoilers for those bothered by that.
I jumped at the opportunity to catch the recent shows in Melbourne and Frankston. I’ve backed up festival sets and headline sets, but never had two shows within a couple of hours of where I live before.
They sprinkled in some new tunes, but missed my two favourites from the new album, as well as another I’d probably consider in my top-5. Nothing from Flash Flood - my favourite album.
None of that mattered. A sprinkling of pre-Spark songs was a delight, but every song just hit whether old or new. Being in a crowd with other fans of the band remains one of the most unifying gig experiences I’ve had. The lads looked like they’re having fun up there and still have the chemistry and the energy that has consistently seen them considered as one of the best live bands in the scene.
I feel for the North American fans who’ve had the recent tour cancelled and hope you get a chance to catch these shows in the near future.
Just got refunded. Absolutely gutted. I was looking forward to that show more than I realized.
Up votes if you’d like to hear “when a jealous man finds a gun”, “Bearer of Bad News”, “ We Can Breather in Space”…. Prime ES imo is 2006/07 demos and take to the skies. Is this a niche or what? Interested to hear opinions
Just curious why ES decided to leave out lyrics on Spotify? On Apple Music they're available. What do you think is the reason for this odd move?
Feels like there were many opportunities missed to add in some unclean vocals with the instrumentally heavy parts of Lose Your Self. Missing AFFOC with occasional heavy vocals from both Rou and Chris. Was hoping after AKFTWW they’d add some heavy bits in here and there. Don’t get me wrong I still love the new album, just venting lol. Would’ve been nice if we got that feature with Sam
Sounds like they couldn’t get visas for the US.
Did anyone else see the Boston Manor post and feel a bit sad about how it was worded. Can’t imagine it’s been an easy decision but not sure that would have made them feel any better about it ? Maybe am just being to over protective 🙈
I'm a long-time shikari fan, I've been with the boys for 17 years now and witnessed 6 live performances (I would do more but the f*cking circumstances won't let me), and I dig into really every album, but AFFOC is the greatest album by the guys. Don't get me wrong - I don't underestimate TTTS or CD or The Mindsweep (which is the second) but A Flash Flood of Colour is mine number by a lots of reasons, but the main is that it is the album that gives us the best experience in the guys' sound experiments, and it is the most diverse up to date.
Comment below your fav and why
Hey ES fam,
I went to the Adelaide show last night but got there late and they were out of stubby holders! If anyone is heading to a show this tour and can help a fellow Shikari fan out, send me a message please!
Longest of long shots, but if you were the guy carrying two drinks halfway through the Grandson set that overheard me and my friend say "Of course a room full of neurospicy people echoes back weird noises" and then you screamed at me and I screamed back.. hit me up. I need more weird gig friends 🤣
i wrote an article for my local student newspaper about Lose Your Self, and i felt like maybe some of you would like to read it.
I don‘t know any of the band members personally and english is not my first language, so give it some leeway with the commas and some possible insensitivities regarding their musical development.
I have been a huge fan for over 9 years now and their latest album hasn‘t really resonated with me. I hope some of you can find it interesting.
Just saw the boys on day 1 of the tour. Setlist was pretty good including an absolutely wild remix of quelle surprise. Eastern states are in for a treat!
i was just listening to their first album and comparing it to their latest work, and it's crazy how much their sound has evolved over the years. from the post-hardcore roots in 'take to the skies' to the more electronic and experimental vibes in 'nottingham' and 'nothing is true everything is possible', it's like they refuse to be put in a box. i think that's part of what makes them so special they challenge the boundaries of music genres. anyone else feel the same way? what are your favorite tracks from their journey?
Title asks it all. Does anyone have any info?
I planned my honeymoon in Japan this year, and I hoped the fuck off my guts that maybe they will have a gig in Tokyo this year and guess what? They will
But a month earlier than I will attend
I fuckin thought I will see the guys for the first time in like 7 years and their fuckin dates are just a month earlier than I planned
What a fuckin coincidence
I mailed them through every known channel and they won't answer
This is some joke, I'm up to organise their gig at mt city but it seems that they're not interested, and therefore I have to bear the unattendence for 7 and more fuckin years
If Reddit has some power of an influence - guys help me get my favourite band to come to my city
I'm a fan, and Russia is still one of the best audiences, and we still are waiting for the guys to come
I'd thank every one of you involved personally
It will be so much historical that this will be a part of a bootleg series
