Valve Stem Seals 352 FE
I really need to do the seals on this old truck because they are leaking bad. Pulled the valve cover off the seals aren’t there anymore. Anyone done them? It doesn’t look hard. Just time consuming.
My 1966 F100
Almost all original 1966 with a 352 and a three on the tree. Great uncle bought it in 1966. Still for the original 2 barrel Autolite 2100 on it.
For the AI Haters, here’s an unaltered pic of my truck, Rufus
Rufus is named after my grandfather who bought this 1971 F100 when I was 6 weeks old.
We stripped it down to the frame, installed a Crown Vic front suspension and steering rack, S550 IRS in the back, with Viking coilovers all around. Powered by a ‘79 460 with Edelbrock heads and EFI. Transmission is a C6 that I would like to swap for a 6 speed. It has all new wiring, interior, PS and AC. The wheels are new take offs from a Mach 1 Mustang.
Paint is original with patina from sitting behind a barn for 20 years.
Happy 250th America! (Somebody’s Bound to be Offended)
YES this is a “F100 Swap”. It was wrecked. Hit me up if you want a link to the full video…
65 F100 on full QA1, rear wobbly wheel
Howdy all. Finally got the truck on the street. Finally got an alignment done on the front but when picking up speed, the rear driver wheel started being wobbly. I got brand new Moser axles, speedway 3.50 third member, new axle seals, new wilwood disc brakes, new wheels and tires. I got no idea what it could be. Maybe something is wrong with my suspension install? Am I really going to have to tear the rear up to figure this out? Any advice on trouble shooting it?
Incoming suspension work l
I finally have almost all of the parts required for my CV and S550 swap. I was buying a cherry picker off of marketplace and the lady had a stack of mustang rims with new tires (stickers still on) stacked up, she told me she would give them to me for 150.
So, I bought a set of 4 new 285/35/20 rims and tires for 160, halfway hoping they'll work on my stuff. If not, I'm absolutely fine with selling them to someone else and rocking steelies.
Here's some pics before any work happens, tell me if I need to find something else.
Update!!!
A little over a week ago I posted on the sub about buying a 1970 F100. Everyone was extremely kind and encouraging so I would like everyone to see what I brought home yesterday!!! I am picking up on stick faster than I thought I would, and I am having a blast driving the truck.
Right grille?
My 56’ has a 55’ grille. Is it possible it was built this way at the factory or was it most likely swapped? Should I keep it?
1965 Ford F100 install
I am a newbie on audio installation. I have installed head units before in the past but that is about all.
I purchased the following items and looking to install two Rockford fosgate amplifiers a Prime R2-400x4, Prime R2-500x1, a set of focal flax evo ps165 fxe speakers, JL Audio MBT-RX with no head unit. I also purchased a 4 gauge Dual Amplifier Wiring Kit, 2000W CCA Amp Install Kit for 2 Amplifiers.
Looking for suggestions on where I can mount the Focal speakers without cutting up the door panels, dash and kick panels.
I am also looking for suggestions on what power and ground distribution parts to use.
Long tubes?
Hey yall, need some help here. I have a 74 F100, im swapping in a 351W and C6 soon. I want to run some long tube headers, I had a 76 302 back in the day and it sounded awesome. I want to replicate that sound, I have the pipes. But for the life of me, I can not find headers that will fit. I've heard some horror stories from guys trying to massage them between the frame rails, around the starter and transmission. I really dont want to run shorties, because the long tubes are a major part of why my 76 sounded like it did. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
What's it worth? 79 F100,Shortbed 351m, C6.
I picked this truck up and have been tinkering with it. Been a little dream of mine to make a race truck and I figured this would be a good place to start. I was wondering what you guys thought it would be worth in its current state? Runs, drives, stops, no leaks, pretty solid lil truck rn. No rust minus the one spot on the passenger rear fender. It's got headers, aluminum radiator, duel radiator fans, front dics brakes, rear drums, manual brakes, nice wheels and tires, interior could use some touching up as a con. Headliner is solid. I'm not looking to sell it but just curious what y'all would potentially pay for it? Ask any questions too!
