7 day Tanzania safari in June lodge recs

We (3 people) are planning a Tanzania safari sometime in June. Can fly into or out of any airports in the area. Just seeing if anybody has any opinions on this/the best lodges. Here are some guidelines:

  1. Budget 25k not including flights and non safari lodge hotels at beginning and end.

  2. definitely needs to be luxury but maybe not to the level of singita since that might break the budget.

  3. I’ve heard you want to stay multiple nights in any one lodge to avoid having to pack all the time/more relaxation? A lot of companies have given me itineraries with a lot of 1 night stays.

  4. The less crowds, the better. I’ve heard the western corridor/grime to river is nice in June?

  5. I’m definitely open to adding a bush flight or two in there to save time, but some driving is good too to see stuff along the way.

  6. option for walking safaris along the way

Thanks!

Talk to me about Naboisho and Olare Motorogi Conservancy Camps not Named Great Plains

Hi. Really looking for some good insights into camps within the two conservancies mentioned above that are not the Great Plains camps. Probably priced out of those due to our desire to have private vehicle included. Would like comfort but main issues are the safari experience, game drive quality, guide quality, vehicle quality, wildlife sightings. Also, as pathologic introverts, we are a couple who tend not to do well with communal dining. Don't need a pool. We are not drinkers so not concerned about wine list or alcohol availability. Heard great things about Kicheche but their valley camp is sold out and it also looks like they only do communal dining. What are other camps people would suggest knowing the above? I looked at Ol Seki but someone told me it focused more on the lodging than the safari experience (although reviews I read on tripadvisor didn't seem to agree). Olare Mara Kempinski? Mahali Mzuri? We are planning early February. PS: prefer the 2 conservancies above but would certainly consider Mara North. Thank you in advance

Recommendation among smaller conservancies in Mara

Hi everyone,

I'm visiting the Masai Mara in August, but availability and budget has been a challenge in Mara North, Naboisho, and Olare Motorogi conservancies.

I'm currently considering these two camps:

- Kandili Camp (Leopard Gorge Conservancy)

- Porini Cheetah Camp (Ol Kinyei Conservancy)

My top priority is the best overall game drive experience, especially maximizing wildlife sightings, including the Big Five.

For those who have visited these conservancies or stayed at either of these camps, which would you recommend and why? How do they compare in terms of game viewing, predator sightings, and the overall safari experience?

Thanks in advance!

Botswana with Zambia or Zimbabwe?

We’re decided to do 4 days at Kwando Kwara in July 2027, thanks to feedback from this forum.

We then want to spend 2 nights at Anantara Victoria Falls (open to suggestion for better hotels if any)

And are now deciding between Zambia and Zimbabwe for ONE final stop for another 4 nights.

South Luangwa?
Lower Zambezi?
Or somewhere in Zimbabwe?
Or simply add on K&D’s Kahana after Kwando Kwara in Bots?

I’m most interested in Lower Zambezi personally but willing to be convinced otherwise!

We are enthusiastic photographers if that helps.

We’re looking for: good wildlife and landscapes, an interesting mix of activities, !minimal crowds! and decently luxurious lodging.

Our budget is $3K per night as a couple, excluding the cost of a private vehicle (which we would add on). We can flex to $4K per night max (so $2K per person) for something special.

Thanks very much!!

Recs for Serengeti in January

Im planning a trip for the first week of January '27 and was looking at Mwiba Lodge. However, the experience working with Auberge Safari for planning hasn't been the best so far and I'm not sure if the luxury price tag is worth it.

Are there any other recommendations for the southern Serengeti?

Private Charter Flights Loisaba Kenya

Any recommendations for Chartered Air providers RT from Wilson to Loisaba?

Staying at Suyian Lodge and I can’t get a clear answer on whether anyone is landing at Suyian Lodge airstrip. If not, Loisaba is our closest location to land.

Looking at private flights because it seems our Mara - Wilson flight via Safarilink is too close for comfort to grab a regular bush flight to Loisaba.

Was really hoping Air Wildnerness was flying to suyian or Loisaba but it doesn’t seem so.

Rwanda - treats for kids?

When I went to India we brought candies for the kids in the neighborhoods and they loved it. My DIL thinks if we bring anything we should bring pencils or toothbrushes.

Did you bring anything? Were there kids around? We’ll be in Kigali for a day and then going to Volcanoes National Park.

Same question for Victoria Falls
