Just got back from an epic 700 mile round trip to Wales, 2 FJR's and left to right a Honda NC750, Triumph Rocket, BMW S1000R, Kawasaki Z650 and a Triumph Scrambler. None of the bikes missed a beat for the entire trip and did not notice any discomfort on my rear, just the usual achy knees and arms (had a touring screen on). Our route planner did a spectacular job finding the best twistys to make the most of the bikes, the weather was up and down but mainly dry (apart from torrential downpour / flooding on M6 on way back).

Hi everyone, I recently picked up a 2006 FJR with the electronic clutch. I've been liking it so far but I'm having some trouble figuring out how to get it to upshift smoothly. Am I supposed to close the throttle and shift like with a manual clutch or leave the throttle open and shift?

After 15 years (or so) and thousands of miles, I finally took time to sort out why the Yamaha top case was so floppy.

Edit: well everyone, I’m a dumbass… the previous owner of my bike installed a 1” ball on the right side handle bars. Up until last night I didn’t even notice it. I’m going to pick up a quad lock or ram mount this week and the adapter.

I want to mount an old iPhone to my bike to use for gps, but the options I’m seeing for handle bar mounts don’t look like they would fit.

What are you guys using for a phone mount?
