Firearm Storage

I'm in the process of moving into Fl from NYS. I will need to keep my gun safe and extra parts out in the garage. Because of the heat and such, are there any things I should be doing different from my normal semi-annual lube regimen? I only ask because I've noticed how quickly some of my hand tools have corroded in their 5 years there.

BARREL SWAPS

How much should it cost to swap a barrel from a gunsmith on a AR 9MM platform, non threaded to threaded? Any suggestions in the PSL area would be appreciated, thanks

gun trust in Florida

I am 55, retired with 21 guns. 5 suppressors, 1 SBR, just filled for 2 more SBRs. I was reading about gun trust. I am not worried about the gun if/when i die, more about the NFA items for my daughter, my only child. Would it be smart to get a gun trust for the NFA items? My wife and I have a living trust, can they be added to that? I have a call into my lawyer, just waiting on a call back.

Glock 43X & 48 magazine design won’t drop free?

I saw some videos online saying there’s issue with the new magazines, not dropping Free. One thing that stood out as they were tapping from weird angles and not actually depressing the mag release button. The firearm is designed for the button to actually be depressed so you’re not dropping your Mags accidentally in a time of need. Anyway, I figured I’d post this showing five different magazines working perfectly and the Glock 43X and Glock 48. For anyone wondering I have about 500 rounds flawless through these magazines and I’m going to put another 300 today for my final testing.

first range session with my new CZ P-10 C Ported. grouping at 7-10 yards.

just shot my first gun for the first time today and it runs beautifully! my time practicing dry firing is paying off! i’m satisfied with my first groups. but idk, what do yall think? is that a tight group for my first shots ever? last 2 pics show my first shot of that group hitting bullseye. definitely looking forward to next time.

Anyone else have problems with Recon Rifleworks in Jax?

3 months late on a project I was told it'd be 2 months max (5 months now) and 1/100 chance of the phone being answered.

CCW instructor in North Central Florida

Hey y'all,

I just learned that I will be moving back to Florida after a four-year hiatus. During my time away, I let my CCW lapse, thinking I would never need it again.

I want to go through another CCW class once I'm settled back in Florida. I know the requirements are pretty minimal, but I'd like to at least get a refresher on any updated laws.

Is there any exceptional CCW instructor that you've had a good experience with in the north central Florida region?
