Hypothetically… how would y’all feel about a Black Jean Grey?

Okay this is PURELY hypothetical, so please don’t attack me 😭
I was thinking about how the MCU has changed certain characters before, either in personality, appearance, backstory, or casting choices, and it made me wonder:
How would y’all honestly feel if Marvel Studios ever did a race-swapped version of Jean Grey?
And before people jump me — I honestly doubt they ever would. I’m not saying they SHOULD or predicting it. I’m literally just curious about people’s thoughts from an adaptation standpoint.
Would fans mostly care about:
comic accuracy?
the acting/performance?
whether the Phoenix storyline is adapted well?
or would Jean be one of those characters people feel should stay exactly the same visually?
I also think it’s interesting because some characters get heavily changed in adaptations and audiences don’t care, while others become super controversial immediately.
Curious what y’all think because I feel like the reactions would be VERY divided 😭

The Sonic Movie, but it's a 1994 Space Jam-like adaptation.

Starring:

• Michael Jackson as Sonic the Hedgehog [voice only]

• Macaulay Culkin as Tails the Fox [voice only]

• Wesley Snipes (or Eddie Murphy) as Knuckles the Echidna [voice only]

• Jeffrey Jones as Dr. Ivo Robotnik [voice and live-action]

• Madonna as Madonna [voice and live-action]

Billy Bob Thornton as Hugo Strange

personally i think this would be the perfect casting, he could easily pull off how serious this role would need to be, and the resemblance is uncanny.

Have any casting suggestions for Jill Valentine in a live-action “Resident Evil” series?

  • Age: Mid 20s to Early 30s (23 - 31)
  • Height: 5'5"- 5'7" (166 cm)
  • Weight: 111 lbs. (50.4 kg)
  • Ethnicity/Nationality: Mixed / American (French/Japanese heritage)
  • Hair: Light brown/chestnut, shoulder-length (tucked into a beret in RE1), Dark brown bob in RE3; shifts to a long, sleek blonde ponytail in RE5 due to cryogenic/viral experimentation.

DCU Professor Pyg Horror Film / Fancast

Directed by Daniel Grou and Written by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg

Cast

Sonny Valicenti as Commissioner Jim Gordon

Jeremy Luke as Harvey Bullock

Denis Ménochet as Professor Pyg

Moby Dick limited series

Some notes-
For it to work I think it would have to be a mini series instead of a movie

DDL is the obvious choice for Ahab but he is getting old. I think Michael Shannon could do the job.

Couldn’t decide between Turner and Pattinson for Starbuck

Domhnall can do comedy and serious pretty well. I like him for stubb

Flask was a difficult cast. Cooper Hoffman was who I settled on but I don’t love it

Ngannou is no actor but is the perfect physical fit for Daggoo. I think he could pull it off

Fedallah is a difficult cast. Other thought was Riz Ahmed but he felt too modern looking

Manxman- Willem Defoe was another option but I thought he would make the character too eccentric

Director - PTA/Eggars. Wish they could work together. PTA could keep Eggars from getting too weird/dark with it

Cinematographer- Robert Elswit/Jarin Blaschke

Score- Howard Shore/Jonny Greenwood

I love this book and done right I think it would be a top series. Other adaptations have not done it justice.

Thoughts? Opinions? I’d love do defend my choices or hear new ones

Griffin Puatu - Denver

Victoria Justice - Nairobi

Iain Armitage - Rio

Batista - Helsinki

I think Paul Anthony Kelly and Nate Mann are the best DCU Batman fancast is because they are not a huge name in hollywood yet and that's what i want when the DCU Batman gets cast is someone the casting directors know who it is that the audience doesn't know who it is.
