So a short while ago, i saw an AI cover posted and some people being sad that you can't hear Mamechin's glorious singing without using it. But i remembered that Jinriki voicebanks are a thing and i'd love to make one of my fav Umas, so i'd be glad to fill that void if there's demand for it!

For those not in the know or those who are curious about the process, i'll do a quick rundown on how it'd work:

TL;DR: Meno but sythesizer (or Hatsune Meno)

I've already recorded Mamechin solo covering Ms. Victoria and removed the BGM. What i'll do next is take that singing and trim it until i get japanese syllabils(?) like ひ,た,ろ,あ, etc. I import each of those in a wav file and place them all in a folder, wich i then put into UTAU's Voice folder. After that, i do some otoing, wich is selecting exactly wich parts of the voice sample the program plays. After that's done, i can write notes i want to play, like あ, and the program will play the voice file titled あ. Lo and behold, i have a little singing Mamechin in my laptop without AI!

I do want to preface it with a couple things though:

1, The voicebank probably won't be a 1:1 match with Meno's voice, but it will likely be recognisable as her.

2, Jinriki voicebanks are difficult to get right, so if the voicebank/covers turn out very low quality, i might not post anything. I'll try to prevent it by doing after work in audacity, trying to remove the random echo-ish sound effect and little background noise the voice remover gave the sample, but i can't make promises.

3, I absolutely cannot distribute the voicebank, so please, don't ask me to send you the files when i'm done with it, it's against the rules of Jinriki and i'm pretty sure it would make it illegal too.

4, As much as i'd love to hear Mamechin cover songs like Welcome to the Black Parade and Jesus of Suburbia, the voicebank will be most suited for Japanese singing (obviously), so if you want to request a song, i'd like to ask you to request a Japanese one. Furthermore, an other rule of Jinriki is you don't make the characters/people sing harmful things, so i'd appreciate requests being songs that are family friendly.

5, I'd probably make most covers as a choir of my favs, so keep that in mind. I can post Mamechin only ones if it really bothers people.

So, if there's demand for it, let me know! The mods can tell me if they think that kind of thing would be appropriate to post here. If you already know a couple songs you'd like to hear Meno sing, feel free to request!
