Okay, last time posting about my garage kit struggles, i promise lol

So, yes, looking for Sirius Symboli garage kits, finding ones for McQueen bla bla bla, don't think i gave up on finding and collecting those, the moment i see any of those gorgeous kits i'm snatching them (i would love to say the same for Fujis kits, but i don't like those very much, unfortunatly TT), however, i decided to put those a little further back on the priority list and make my own ones for a couple reasons;

The biggest one is the fact that i'd also like figures of Fenomeno, but she doesn't seem to have any GKs or offical figures yet, and i feel like it'd be unfair if i managed to pick up a figure or two of all my other favs and leave her out for who knows how long. If i already have to make my own GK for her, i might aswell do it for the others too. I'd probably also save a lot, i hear importing figures from Japan is quite costly, especially with the new EU laws coming up. I also want to get my motivation to draw and create back and i feel like designing some figures would be a good way, plus it'd force me to finally learn blender like i've been meaning to for years.

If anyone could share some good resources to learn from, i'd deeply appreciate it!

So i did make a couple posts about searching for some specific garage kits and while those i still haven't found second hand, i managed to find two of an other character i love and while i don't plan to pick them up immediatly (they seem a lot more common than the other kits i'm looking for, so i'm not too concerned about them being bought for now), i'd like to visualise how i'd paint them in advance. Both with these kits and the other ones i found recently, i think it'd look super cute if some parts had a little shine or sparkle. Any recommendations?

While trying to track down the Sirius Symboli garage kits, i found the twitter of the creators of both kits. One of them has a bio that goes something along the lines of "We accept seperate orders for commertial, exhibiton and model creations seperatly. Please feel free to DM for consultation." I also saw a couple posts where you can reach out in DMs to order, although those were specifically for pre-painted kits. However, could that mean you can order/pre-order kits directly? The other seller also encourages you to reach out in DMs. Would it be worth it to ask about the kits in DMs, or would it be rude?

I'd really like to get my hands on one of Sirius Symboli's garage kits, but i haven't had much luck with it. I tought i saw an in stock listing on Suruga-ya, but i'm not 100% sure since while it lets me place it in my cart, when i go to the selling page, it says it's not available. I did find the twitter of the person that makes one of the two that allow you to reach out to them, i could try asking them about it, but i'd prefer to look more troughly first.

So i heard you can ask to make your package smaller to save on shipping costs, but i'm confused about the process.

So as far as i know, you have to consolidate your packages together, then you e-mail Buyee support asking to have it down-sized, but by that point, you already paid for the shipping, no? Do they refund the difference or something?

Also, does down-sizing have any extra fees?

Edit: I see you can request protective packaging. I plan to ship via AIR Packet, how necessary is it for that type? How much does it cost?

Edit 2: I ended up consolidating wihout protective packaging. However, it set the shipping method back to EMS. Will i be able to change it after consolidation?

I'll share one of mine to show what i mean: I really love UmaMusume and would like to assemble a small collection of my favourite girls, since i'm getting rid of most of my childhood things soon (as in move them to storage). As i was looking trough my options on Buyee, i saw a listing of the Door To A New Era Fuji Kiseki figure, i think it's a prize figure, though i'm not too proficent at terminology yet, so i'm not sure. Regardless, what stood out to me was that the poor figure had it's tail broken off, nothing a bit of glue can't fix, luckily, but i remember feeling so bad for it. I vowed to pick up when i order my first batch of merch, glue it's tail back when it arrives and cherish it forever, but when i couldn't find it when i ordered my merch a couple days ago. I hope it's because the figure was bought and went to a loving home and not because it didn't sell and the seller threw it out. (not sure how common that is, i did see a listing for an acrylic standee of Sirius Symboli that stated that if it won't sell, they'll just dispose of it, i felt bad for that one too, i hope that one went to a loving home too and didn't end up being thrown out)

Have any of you come across listings that were memorable in some way?

I'm mostly asking out of curiousity, i am waiting for some of my orders to be shipped, wich i am a little nervous about, since this is my first time getting stuff from Buyee, but since the sellers i bought from have went trough the effort to verify themselves and seem to have good reviews, i'm under the assumption that they aren't scam accounts, but i did see a lot of verified sellers on buyee while browsing, so i do wonder if anyone knows that.

Second, how exactly does insurance work? I wanted to read it in the plan explanation when buying my stuff, but i was worried that by the time i read them, someone else will check-out before me and miss out on my stuff and i figured i could read them later, but i can't find them anywhere. If you get basic plan (insurance+inspection), will you get a refund, or is it only for a lost mail? Again, i'm not asking because i suspect any of the sellers i bought from, i'm probably only stressing because one of the sellers sent out one super fast and the other has a ships in 24 hours tag and it didn't get shipped in two days, but i assume they just go to the post office when they have enough orders or something, i'll start fully panicing a week later, this is mainly because i was a bum and didn't read the descriptions of the plans.

I have this HP laptop that started acting up a bit recently. It's not very old, i've had it for just around a year.

Recently, the battery of it started behaving pretty odd. The laptop did have a pretty fast battery drain by default, it would often go down from 7X% to 4X% in the matter of an hour and a half, even though i did all the required steps to save battery and only used word or teams or something.

After summer break started, i kept it in my bag and haven't turned it on for a while until a couple weeks ago, when i decided to check the battery. Since it wasn't very low, around 80-70%, i decided to update one of my games and play it a little. I got maybe 20 mins of usage in until the low battery notification flashed for a second before the laptop died. It did, thankfully, charge up properly afterwards and i chalked it up to not being turned on for a couple months before that, especially since i used it for a bit a couple days later and it seemed to have it's usual battery loss speed.

However, today, i booted it up, originally planning to draw for a bit until remembering that my digital pencil registers really weird on my laptop for some reason, so i decided to game a little. Everything seemed normal, i saw that i still have 60% left, so i put the game on full screen. I think that's when it started dropping in percentage so fast, since at most 10 minutes later, i got the pop-up that my battery's about to die. Granted, i was using a VPN, but i don't think it should affect it to this degree. It seems to be charging normally this time aswell and doesn't seem to lose a lot of charge when i'm not using it. It also charges fine even if i use it.

Is something wrong with the battery? I'm not sure what i could have done to it other than having it sideways in my bag for a couple months, could that have damaged it?

So i did make a post about buying standees not long ago, i ended up buying them. However, only two out of my three orders have order included status, one of them only has order recieved. When i click on the listing, it says sold, but i didn't get the "we have successfully bought your item for you!" message. Should i be worried about that?

Update: they managed to buy it, i'm so happy and relieved!
