Nuala and Cerridwen Week Event

We have known them since ACOTAR as Rhys "handmaidens", when UTM they not only helped Feyre to dress up, but also protected her. And we got to properly meet them when they introduced themselves to Feyre in ACOMAF. So it feels right for them to have their own week to celebrate their characters, specially when so often they get ignored by the wider fandom or reduced to just "Servants that work for Rhysand".

The Week will be celebrated from June 28th to July 4th, which we know is a very short notice, but the date felt right.

We hope some of you want to participate on it, thank you Darlings ~

Feyre never knew what actual love was because she was never loved or cared for , Feyre have sense of duty toward her family to protect , feed and care but never recieved same consideration toward her and with tamlin she felt secure and cared for the first time that she actually thought she might be in love with him and actually went back to save him as mere human , it wasn't until she was drawing her last breath and saw that Rhys blew his cover up to fight Amarantha even though he was powerless against her and uttered her answer to riddle as her last word ...

Is this Rhys’ workout routine?

I’m losing it. With the purple fit, the biceps……. i can’t unsee John Wiggle as Rhys.

He also has a reel where he walks towards the camera with the top of his shirt unbuttoned and i could imagine him picking off an invisible piece of lint like our MMC famously does.

Am i crazy???

Tamlin rant on reread

Ok I never liked Tamlin even on the first read, but his character and their love story was such a classic trope like fall in love with your mean and scary captor that I just thought ok it’s one of these let me try to enjoy it. But I still couldn’t figure out like what their connection was based on, what they liked about each other.

Anyways I’m currently rereading the first book and the reasons to hate tamlin are so clear even before UTM!! Their first intimate interaction was him violently biting her neck hard enough to bruise while she struggled to push him off and had genuine fear. Before and after that he actually orders her around like a brute and even goes so far as to say “never disobey me again”. Literally WTF!!! Rhys would neverrr even make a command, Tamlin never treated her like an equal.

It only gets worse from there. Their second intimate encounter is him coercing her to let him kiss her in order to show her the beauty of their surroundings. Really, you had to trick and coerce her into a kiss?! And she again fights back and just kisses his hand.

Their actual first kiss on the mouth, the third encounter, is while she is literally out of her mind drunk on faerie wine so it was not consensual!!! You cannot give consent when piss drunk. And this is not at all comparable to Rhys there was no duress or need to have their first kiss while she was drunk. I admit Rhys and her first kiss was not consensual either but it was to save her life and he regrets it! Tamlin never expresses regret over their first kiss being while she was falling over drunk.

Tamlin also has SUCH a temper which we obvi see in books 2 and 3 but even in book 1 his claws are constantly popping out against his will, at one point he even causes his own face to bleed from them 🤮 let alone denting the table like how did Feyre ever feel safe around him!!

Literally Tamlin is everything I would hate in a man and Rhys is the polar opposite everything I’d wish they could be (but most men never will). Her “love” for Tamlin is classic Stockholm syndrome, loving her abuser/captor who’s literally kidnapped her and holding her against her will, and constantly ordering her around and tricking her in to kissing him… and his motives aren’t even because they were naturally falling in love but because tricking her into saying i love you would break his curse. Ugh all of it is just SO GROSS and I’m proud of myself for not feeling it even on first read but also SJM was a genius for tricking us like that but making it so obvious (yet subtle) that he’s a bad guy from the start lol.

I won’t even get started on how he ignores her and won’t even make contact UTM and makes ZERO effort to save her obvi when he had the chance too like remember he could shapeshift and turn Andras into a wolf… why not turn her into a small animal or insect (maybe even turn himself) and run out of there!!! Horrible that again all he wanted was physical from her. The only part inconsistent is that in later books he seems to still want/love her yet I guess it was more about power/owning her like property/using her body still. Even MAF he just ignores her while she throws up, has nightmares, withers away losing all this weight but of course he still uses her for sex throughout all of that 🤮

Is Feyre a Snake with a Pom-Pom tail?

I adore this description of the snake with the pom-pom tail that Sarah did for Feyre back on this interview in 2016:

>Sarah: Cassian would definitely be Gryffindor. Azriel would be Ravenclaw. Sweet Elain would be a Hufflepuff. Nesta would be Slytherin. Amren would be Ravenclaw or Slytherin, although I feel she fits more in the role of the headmaster. Mor would be Gryffindor. Rhys would be a Ravenclaw. Feyre would be a Hufflepuff/Slytherin (like a snake with a pom-pom tail).

And in 2015 she did say that Feyre would be a Slytherin:

>"...Feyre would be Slytherin actually. Rhys is Slytherin..."

So this aspect is consistent between the interviews.

Personally when reading the first book I was more inclined for Feyre to be a Gryffindor, because how brave she was. But the Hufflupuff option could also be a good one, because one of the most important qualities about the house is how hardworking they're, and we saw this with how much Feyre was doing for her family and how much hard work she has been doing on the rest of the series.

But, I do also agree with SJM when she says that Feyre would be a Slytherin, specially after ACOTAR, i feel like she is more of a Slytherin than a Gryffindor as i first believed her to be. Because how cunning she is and resourceful, like, the fight with the Middengard Wyrm proves it, and how she was able to manipulate two High Lords... And the Slytherin/Hufflepuff thing feels right with the "Persephone" theme that she was given.

So, what do you think? Is she a Slytherin? a Hufflepuff? a Gryffindor? or maybe a Slytherpuff???

Adriata painting

I have poured so much love and time into this painting I just had to share it with people I hope will get it 🫶

Adriata, the castle city of the summer court.

I have tried to include as many details from the description of this magical place in the book, into my painting. Including “the glaring sun off a turquoise sea”, the “tan stone palace, the building itself perched atop a mountain-island in the heart of a half-moon bay”, “gulls flapped over the many turrets and spires”, and the bridge “raising itself so a many-masted ship could cruise through”.

I know she’ll probably never see this but I want to say thank you to the author, Sarah J Maas, for giving us this world 💙 what a beautiful place to escape to.
