I do wonder if this means we're getting his pov again... 👀

About this... and because i have seen far too many people throw under the bus Feysand and even Nessian (Mostly Nessian...which deeply offends me). Who ever is thinking or saying this (my bet Is on Feyre, because the writing gives me Feyre) Is not talking about Feysand (neither about Nessian). So please no one panic over here. We're safe.

Between the legends that inspired the Swan Lake we can add the Norse Mythology. On some of the stories the Valkyries were also called Swan Maidens and it was said that they could shift into Swans...

Could the other girls in the lake be the Valkyries that disappeared? Not death in battle, but cursed in the continent?

A lot of people have calculated that this scene happens between mid and late of July, and if we think that Prythian is on a similar placement than the British Islands in our world, we could calculate that at that period of time they would have around 8 hours of night time. This means that Vassa around this time has a lot less time to being in human form, so of course every moment is precious for her, as Feyre is pointing out.

And yet, she is spending that precious time as human before dawn with Lucien. And while we aren't privy of their conversation is evident by how Lucien's own body language is described that he is enjoying himself listening to what she has to say, and that Vassa herself is enjoying talking with him.

I don't think this scene is at all random, but knowing that it's happening at a point where Vassa has the less hours to be human, really reframes this scene, at least a little.

So anyone who has been exploring what is left of SJM's boards might be familiar with this picture, as is one of the last saved pins in the boards...

This is likely Vassa's inspo;

>Vassa straightened, her cobalt jacket a sharp contrast to the red-gold of her hair. Of the three redheaded people in this room, Cassian liked her coloring the best: the golden hue of her skin, the large, uptilted blue eyes framed by dark lashes and brows, and the silken red hair, which she’d cut to her shoulders since he’d last seen her - ACOSF CH7

This was made by Deviantart artist Tira-Owl. This artist made another version of this same character, which is the second picture... in which she has longer hair and a fox around her shoulders. Isn't it an interesting coincidence? That a picture that clearly inspired Vassa's appearance has a second version in which she appears with a fox, an animal that is related with Lucien over her shoulders? And the Fire?

Oh and remember how Nesta was meant to be Lucien's endgame? Well, take a guess about this character's original name; Agnes... which is the English version of Nesta... which is a VERY weird coincidence.

Anyway, It's just a theory...
