WiFi down— Fidium Tech not available for days?

I WiFi has been out for the last 7 hours.

I did some trouble shooting, and after no avail I gave Fidium a call. The customer service assistant confirmed an issue with my device, and said that the earliest a tech can come out Wednesday the 20th.

Is this normal? I feel like that is far too long to make a customer go without service. I also need to get work done (attorney), which requires WiFi. Is it worth calling and (nicely) complaining about or is this normal?

Third party routers stuck at 1mbps if plugged into ONT directly

Had fiber for a year. For some reason ever since we've had it, if we go straight from the ONT to our own router, the wifi is basically unusably slow and fidium says our router isn't even recognized on the network. We have to use *their* router as a middle man for it to work properly.

From what I've read there's no real reason this shouldn't work and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? We got a new ONT and fidium router a few months back to hopefully fix the issue but the ONT still doesn't play nice with third party routers, such as a TP Link AX4400 or TP Link BE9300. Both run 1mbps if directly plugged into the ONT. I'd prefer not to have both routers active and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anybody have a contact number for stateside technical support?

The 900 second lease times for WAN IP are absolutely killing my router. I have a .4% failure rate on WAN side DHCP lease renewals. Not a huge deal until you're being asked to renew the lease 1200 times a week. That equates to 4-5 failures a week. So my WAN connection goes dark 4-5 times a week. I've requested that Fidium increase my DHCP lease time, but they will not do it. The only option I have then is to get a static IP. I requested one, and they say they will only give out static IP's to customers who are using Fidium's router. I am using my own router (BYOD) and do not want an ISP provided device. Unfortunately, even after talking to their "Elevated Tech Support" group, which is still offshore, I can't seem to get anybody on the phone who can understand the difference between DHCP and a static IP. At this point, I've spent over 2 hours on the phone in a continuous loop w/ people that don't know anything about networking. Does anybody have a cheat code for me? I desperately need to talk to somebody at Fidium that can help me.

Fidium fiber now included in rent. TV's and sons console will not connect to it.

Seems like only my phone, computer, and his phone will connect to the fidium adtran router. His digital series x can't. My q80c Samsung won't. Nor will my run of the mill vizio connect to it.

Is it probably because it's only broadcasting 5ghz? I can't even use the fidium app or even sign into the website because it just got installed and activated in my apartment complex, I didn't sign up or anything anywhere. Thankfully I still have optimum going but I would like to drop that.

Edit: also suspecting it's because of the wpa3 security

Updated app 👎

With the new update the app constantly makes me sign in. Its annoying and first time I sign in, it takes me to a blank page, sign in 2nd time takes me to the same blank page, then I click on x then im logged in.

They really need to up their game on the parental controls. Seriously ridiculous.
