I just saw him in person for the first time on the Solaris tour. It's actually not awesome and I hope to never do that again. I'm mad and hurting about it. I'm angry that a) nobody has love good enough for a real-life cupid b) nobody else seems to notice he's all fucked up for real, over it. Constantly. It's not hard to see that it's not a bit when he is actively suffering right in front of you. It's not his fault either. I can read all this writing on the wall. You like George Miller as a musician because he is truly smart, talented & because he is good at love songs. You like love. Which is why it's so weird to see a stadium of "lovers" cheer regardless of his obvious pain. Like it is not happening. It's not only creepy and hurtful but it's the whole problem. People are bad at love. You can't see someone hurting. You can't see another person at all unless they spell it out for you. That is a deadly fault. I just want George to be happy. I hate you for taking that away from such a clearly good lover. And by the way, it is difficult to build your heart that well. That is why he is so special.

When you treat him like a god or a king or a diva you take love away. When you hold your tongue about how lonely it must be for him, you take love away. You take love from the whole world. Please talk to your...ok first make friends and then talk about these things. Figure it out and fix it, please. Like there's not a sincere heart anywhere...

And if somehow the man himself reads this. I'd like him to know that going on tour is still a good thing, even if everyone looks like drooling, ugly, unfeeling, grubby monsters. And never settle for a half life wife because it will never be worth it. It will just make you feel more alone.

I miss the early 2010s internet where it was basically a free-for-all, before all the ads and censoring. I miss my friends being like: "did you see that video of the guy putting a jar up his ass?" I miss dumb shit like filthyfrank. I miss the Idubbz content cop. I miss when being online wasn't such a fucking a drag. Now it feels like you have to avoid saying about many things to avoid being censored and people are aiming for virality and not just doing things for the hell of it.

And dont get me wrong the early 2010s was pretty fucked up. At least the country where I am from mental health and being gay was still heavily stigmatized. I used Tumblr heavily during that time and all I followed was self harm and eating disorder bullshit. My mental health was so fucked during that time. So i ain't advocating for all parts of that period at all. But right now, everything feels so censored and constrained. I work in a school and I feel like I can see the teenagers I work with suffocating under it all and having worse self esteem than when I did following the fucking self harm pages.

I dont know. I see the kids im working with and I worry about the future. In a decade from when I was a teen the internet went from being unfiltered and pure chaos to heavily censored and idealized.

At least when it was fucked up and traumatizing it was still real.
