Hot spot questions

Been for years running a tablet data sim in an att hot spot for when go camping or to beach and generally no issues. Is a tablet sim locked to a certain download speed I have been able to successfully stream two TVs and incidentally tablet or phone traffic at same time no issues but I'm questioning stepping up to a dedicated hot spot sim card.

Can anyone help me understand this?

I was looking at changing my orig FirstNet plan ($47.99/mo) to the FirstNet Premium 2.0 (40/mo) but when I go through the checkout process things aren't adding up.

Right now my minutely bills with all taxes/fees is $308.73

After Changes it shows my new monthly bill will be...... $359.22
Can anyone familiar with this explain wby changing to a plan that's $7.99 less expensive results in $51+ per month?

Thanks in advance

A nightmare

I tried to switch my FirstNet service to a brand new phone and it got caught in limbo somewhere. Despite 2 full days, multiple calls to AT&T, multiple visits to stores, I still have no service. They can’t even get the service back on my old phone. They also cannot tell me when or if this issue will be resolved. I really think I am going to have to change to a new number and carrier to get cell service. What a pain in the a$&! This is definitely not reliable service. If you are thinking about moving to FirstNet, save yourself the headaches and just say no!

Issues with phone calls

Recently, I found out my wireless carrier was shutting down. I’d been hearing good stuff about first net, and decided to try it. At first, there was trouble with the port. I attempted to fix it and after many AI bots, got to a person and got it fixed. So now I am able to receive some calls, and unable to for others. And it’s only sometimes. For example, my MIL was in my kitchen and called me. Phone never rang. It actually said that my number wasn’t connected. She called my wife, and it went right through. Later, she will be able to call me but not my wife. It’s like this with multiple people, and they are from our old carrier. Any assistance?

Data speeds on tablet

I recently switched to the new plan that includes both the watch and tablet.

I have a 5g iPad Pro with the M5 chip.

Activating it on FirstNet was quick and easy but it gets much lower speeds compared to my iPhone 17 pro max.

The iPhone is regularly close to 600/20 while in the same location the iPad gets 90/10.

Do tablets get a different profile? It is active on a FirstNet eSIM.
