Big Pollock from Shore, on a homemade lure.

Short but very productive session. Both fish caught on the same homemade lure too, extra satisfying. Unfortunately the bigger one was gut hooked and bleeding badly, I usually return fish that size. At least the freezer is packed with fish now.

I’ve made a video on how I found this mark. How I find new spots is probably the thing I’m asked the most, so hopefully the new video is helpful.

Sea-fishing Newbies

Hi all, I have a little bit of experience with fly-fishing in rivers/ponds, but not sea fishing. My partner and I are going to Wester Ross in the summer and fancy trying it but have no idea with regards to equipment, permits etc. Can someone give us advice on what to use please and anything we should be aware of? Thanks!

Help with fish ID.

New to course fishing, from what I have read I initially thought this was a Roach, but after doing some research, based on the mouth being turned up, the dorsal fin being further back I think it might be a Rud ..

This was caught on Broom Fisheries in Piggy's Island .

I plan a lot more visits to broom would love to hook my first carp there as I learn more.
