Looking for a 3ish inch Drop point with a full size handle and flat grind for EDC / Camp

i like the Esee 3HM but is there anything more traditional to look at as well. Nothing tactical / pointy stabby. LT Wright would be great but good luck there.

the Izulla 2 after a scale and sheath swap would double the price.

I am in no rush as i have plenty of folders but always had an itch for a smaller fixed blade.

USA Made if possible - $200 ish price range - Steel i am not to picky on but push come to shove Magnacut with a good heat treat seems popular in this price range. Non stainless is not off the table tough.

The front runner so far is the White River Axiom. (I might get the leather sheath or a slim taco kydex down the line depending)

Looking for inspiration

What kinds of knives do you feel like the market is missing or you wished you could find more of?? Just getting into the idea of selling knives and want to fill a void instead of dumping into the endless garbage of meh quality remakes of the same thing.
Edit: I’d prefer to make them myself, but I’d be open to the idea of retailing

Recommend a thin and slicey farm knife

Hi everyone!

I work outdoors in varying conditions, and a fixed blade make so much sense - easy to clean, quick access, no pivots to worry about. I've carried a Grohmann #2 flat grind for the past year or so, and it works so well. I would like an upgrade, particularly with the blade steel. Do I need an upgrade? Probably not...but that's another story.

The things I like:

  • ergos are fantastic, but I would like some sort of guard or choil for push cuts when my hands are wet and dirty. I've had to be extra careful in the past that my fingers don't end up on the blade.
  • full coverage leather sheath has enough retention, rides low on the belt, and also allows for fast and easy one handed access
  • full flat grind and a thin blade. I used a micrometer, the blade is just over 2mm at it's thickest point. It's amazingly slicey, especially when it comes to things like cutting irrigation pipe, etc. where a thicker knife would bind.
  • handle size fits my hand well

Things I don't like:

  • blade steel, lack of prominent finger guard

What I want:

  • Most important: under 2.5mm thick (or 0.1") blade, with a full flat grind
  • Magnacut, AEB-L, 14C28N, or similar steel. Looking for a good work steel that can still be rapidly touched up
  • full coverage leather sheath

Thanks!

Would like recommendations!

Exactly how it sounds. I’d love some opinions!

I have a few criteria that I’d like to meet when picking a fixed blade knife.

Things I want:

-Steel that doesn’t need constant touch ups, but can be touched up rather quickly. (Magnacut, AEBL) steels like those. Good hard use steels

-EDC-able, so no longer than 7.5” OAL, and preferably under 3.5” blade length

-Quality Kydex sheath. I want to be able to actually use it. Had a WRK and it was a great knife but the sheath sucked for EDC. Can be leather sheath if it is HAS to be. Just usually carry IWB, with a clip or ulticlip

-Decent ergos, doesn’t have to be top of the line

-Blade shape preferences are: sheepsfoot, straight back, drop point

I love the look of TKell’s so bonus points if it has the same vibe goin on.

TIA yall. Hope to see some cool recommendations.

3” Blade Suggestions.

I work in construction. I need to cut lines, open boxes, that kind of thing…

….and I’m done with my folding knives breaking, or sticking, or just having to stop what I’m doing to fold it up to sheath it.
I also need to limit it to a 3” blade because of local, big city, blade length restrictions. I’d get a Morakniv, but almost all are over 4”. Any suggestions?

Edit: I don’t want to say “cheap”, but the less expensive the better. The cost effectiveness of most Moraknivs’ is a good example. I can’t believe how good they are for the price,
