Always thought the diagonal weave was pretty neat but it wasn’t a must have till I saw it in person at my local smoke shop last night and had to get it. Now I think I need the brass one too.

Patina

Had this for quite a few years now but never carried it and started carrying it on and off for the past couple months now. Was getting impatient with natural patina to show. So I used 5000 grit sanding sponge on it, got it wet and air dried a few times and managed to force a slight patina on it.

Found a 59’ in decent condition for a decent price. Cleaned it up a little and it’s my pocket.

I like how the corners on these old ones are slightly more rounded off. Do you guys know when Zippo stopped doing that? The classic/standard ones I have in my small collection are from the late 50’s to early 60’s and then from 1980 onwards. The 1980 and younger ones don’t have the corners rounded off as much and are the same as current standard models. Don’t have anything in between to compare.
