In spec for a 1941 replica?

I received my first 1941 replica today and noticed a slight lid gap. It is a brand-new one straight from Zippo. Is this something worth bitching over, or not really? Personally, I don't mind it too much, as Zippos aren't airtight anyway, but what are your thoughts?

Zippo lighter which survived rocket strike

Let’s start from beginning

15 of June, at night, Russian rocket hit Mayak manufactory at Kiev, close to it was biggest flea at Ukraine which also suffered from rocket attack, 30% of flea was completely destroyed

Owner/seller of this lighter found it in ruins of his shop and gifted it

Lighter was restored and now it is fully functional(melted metal still left on shell)

So yeah, I’m not the second and even third owner of it, it have some text on it, that lighter made a big way

Planning to sell it like Ukrainian- Russian war artefact - souvenir, maybe some collectors will be interested

Zippo lighter repair

Picked up this super rare stussy zippo a month ago. I understand it’s from the 90’s and wear is very usual but I think a combination of heat, and the oils from my hand peeled away the enamel or sticker they used for the logo. It’s a heavy personal item but I wanted to get it fixed somehow. Was thinking of buying/ getting a stencil and filling it in myself or doing something crazy and get it engrave and fill in the engraving with enamel. What do you guys think ? Anyone else have one and can maybe over some advice?

Interesting Zippo, would like to know more about it

Not sure when we acquired this one, but its pretty interesting in our opinion. Engraved with "Toronto", and the designs. Niagara Falls inscription below the Zippo logo. Internal portion has the numerals "IX" on one side. Curious if anyone can give me some info on this particular model or style? Any and all help appreciated.

First zippo, I’m so happy!

I could not wait to get one, and now I finally have one! I messed up the wick and had to shorten it to many times, I’ll have to replace it in like a few months.

Natural Tarnish Experiment

Just got back from seeing some family at the beach for a week. I stripped these two street brass Zippos and left them at the house stowed up under the deck.

I saw the tarnish on the brass doorknob on this closet outside and I got curious: how long would it take a Zippo to do that?

Lucky dip

Has anyone here bought one of the lucky dip lighter’s from the zippo site? And if so was it worth it. I’m thinking of buying one of the platinum lucky dip’s.

Safe alternative to Zippo fluid?

Hello! Zippo fluid costs $15 for a 125ml bottle where I live due to import fees, so I need a cheaper alternative.

I have already tried Primus Powerfuel, it works great but evaporates fast and contains a rust inhibitor

Found this in an old box my Grandfather had, who’s grandfather fought in the civil war (side is obvious) just curious if this is worth anything or to toss it.

Can someone give me some info on these?

Was going through my grandfather's old bag of lighters my parents had stored away from when he passed. I found quite a few Zippos though 2 im curious about the 1st I cant find too much info on being the brass colored Marlboro bull Zippo. Its about half the size of a regular Zippo and stamped "LLL" on the case lid. The second is this chrome one that seems rather old but when googling it I get very conflicting info. If anyone has any info on the year of the chrome and possibly where the Marlboro one came from as well, id appreciate it!

The daily maintenance kit

With people sharing their lighter maintenance kits I figured I'd finally share mine. This is just for quick maintenance to clear stuck flints and easy jobs like re-wick/repack. And for replacing flints for long term storage. This is not for deep cleaning, lighter body repair, or other serious work.

Bonus maintenance on a red felt 1967 lighter with a stuck flint and scraping off excessive soot on the flint wheel and chimney. Quick refuel and flint and it fired right up.
