Esteemed members of the court, There is a need for more ladies and maidens to join our noble quests.

(Art from Soulbound - Champions of Death by Cubicle7)

My dearest gentle reader,

It is sadly a rare occurance indeed to witness the ladies of the summercourt about on gallant quests and crusades.

This author can only think of two maidens present in the entire range of our armies, both being confined to teh royal beastflayers kit.

There is such potential in witnessing magical damsels, chivalric ladies, and fair princesses take to the field, that I can only hope we see more of them represented soon.

Yours truly,

~Lady Whistlebone.

FEC Content in Cursed City

I'm picking up an apparently sealed box of Cursed City for relatively cheap this weekend. I have an interest in, but no experience with, FEC. What FEC units are in or have close proxies in Cursed City? I couldn't tell by reading the model list, mostly due to being unfamiliar with the army as a whole (I play 40k, want to dip into AoS).

How much longer until we get a Big Release?

Fellow nobles and knights,

Our mighty and glorious army has campaigned far and wide, achieving all manner of great victories. But considering we are basically a "new" army launched in 2023, we essentially only have 3 types of squads. For such a mighty and prosperous nation, isn't the variety of our troops a bit too hollow?

Here, I present to you a glorious statue of our great Summer King, while I pray that a big release arrives as soon as possible.

Some of my kitbashed serfs

I really love how much can be done with cryptguards. Mixing weapons and equipment with Morbheg knights was so much fun. Makes it easier to make them unique.

Mixed Armies

Has anyone done units or single models that show what the FEC see themselves as? I’ve got this idea of a noble knight on his horse, but subtle details showing how they’re actually a monster. Like blood around the horses mouth, or have its mouth extend up the snout like a dog’s. Then give the knight a clawed hand or standard FEC weapon

I was told I had to post My Ushoran if I wanted to stay

After painting this guy for a competition and buying a spearhead off someone at my LGS, it is time to join the court.

Where to start: Lore

Hi! I am not new to warhammer, but have mostly been doing 40k and HH so far. I have just barely started to learn about AoS, and am really wanting to dive in more. I started collecting and painting flesh eater courts and would love to learn more about them, does anybody have suggestions for books or youtube lore videos?

TIA!

Kin of the Skin

These are my first FEC models and I really, really enjoyed painting them. I'm definitely going to have to buy a few more models and units, just for the joy of painting loads of flesh and bone!

I followed one of a few methods I saw in tutorial videos for the flesh, starting with a dark purple (barak-nar burgundy) base and then building up lighter and lighter layers with that same purple, mixing with a light yellow so as to brighten the purple without desaturating it too much. After building all the way up to the brightest purples/pinks, I glazed all the flesh with a purple midtone (screamer pink maybe?), tying all the layers together. This worked really well, so I'm documenting it here so I can remember it!

I also did a little conversion on Flensemaster Pewdrig. I didn't really like his odd dual wielding pose, so he has been given an old goblin shield and a little bird skull helmet. Mainly for the fun of it.

Hope you like them, critique and advice welcome as I am trying to get better.

My Valiant Soldiers so Far...

10 guard dawned in their valiant silver armor (seen above) and my knight riding her noble white steed (still gotta base her lol)

Should I do another 10 man guard group after the Morbhegs? Or a character?
