Why did The Flintstones have to end?? Genuinely miss it so much!!
Hello, I’m 19 years old, and I grew up watching The Flintstones (1960–1966) when I was younger. I’ve been wondering what happened to the OG Flintstones era and that feeling of watching it regularly when it was still airing and part of everyday life.
Now the main show has completely ended, and the story itself is long gone from new episodes. Many of the people involved in making it have moved on with their lives, different projects, and different careers, away from The Flintstones. It feels strange because I grew up watching all of it, and now everything has just… moved on and finished.
I remember watching episodes when I was younger and everything felt so simple… I just don’t get why it couldn’t last forever and feel the same. Why did everything have to move on and end?
I also want to ask: why doesn’t watching The Flintstones feel the same anymore? If I go back and watch old episodes from that time, it just doesn’t feel the same anymore… like it feels a bit different or “off” in a way I didn’t notice back then.
Why do so many shows like The Flintstones eventually stop making new episodes and, in general, fade out of everyday viewing? I don’t really understand why that era is over, especially since it lasted for so many years. It feels like many people, including the original audience, just aren’t watching it in the same way anymore either, and I don’t understand why. It just doesn’t make sense why something I used to enjoy and watch for years doesn’t feel the same anymore and has to move on.
It just doesn’t make sense that everything feels so moved on and ended, like the era chapter is closed…
