Might be time to sell…

Blown trans, blown turbo and blown motor all within a year and half of owning been a money pit but I’ve enjoyed it up until this point put a new motor in last week after blowing up my old one and now my wheel bearing has gone out thankfully not to expensive if a part but more of the fact wondering what’s the st market like rn? Sitting at 140k on body and 90k on new motor is 10 stretching it?

Gas Brand names recommendations?

Hey ya'll so I've always used Speedway and BP gas stations to fuel up. Ive noticed my car will run "sluggish" afterwards here and there. So today i decided to fill up at a Mobil 1 gas station and for some odd reason the car feels "faster" lol am i going crazy or is this a thing others have experienced using different gas stations? Please let me know!!

Stand alone ECU

Before you say it, I know its not an ST but a very considerate ST has donated its heart to my 7.

Looking for some input from the community on what stand alone ECUs are tried and tested for the ST, bonus if they can supply a loom. I've used the search function but came up empty handed. I am based in Australia so any local input is appreciated.

So far I've found SCS Delta and ECU Masters Emu Black with the Emu Black being a lot more affordable and based in Australia.

NGK 95605 LTR7BHX Ruthenium spark plugs after 26K miles

I'm preparing to drive over a few thousand miles this summer. I recently changed out the radiator fan assembly with the control module because my A/C was working intermittently. I figured as part of my maintenance I'd replace the spark plugs with new ones. On my maintenance log it looks like these have around 26,600 miles on them. I checked the gap on them and they're all still within the range of 0.025-0.026.

Overall the car does seem to be running fine. I have a Stratified tune running 91 octane on stock turbo. I noticed that the side electrode on the rightmost one has some white on it. I believe it was the leftmost spark plug when looking into the car's engine bay. How do these spark plugs look?

Rebuilt head had improper valve lash set on the exaust cam. Need new tappets.

So 6 out of the 8 exaust valves were .004 over and 2 were .006 under. Ive been going crazy trying to figure out why this car is misfirig after rebuilding the motor and I think this is the problem seeing the ignition and fuel systems all checked out as functional. Timing is spot on and compression is consistent across all 4 at 150. Where can I order new tappets in the right thickness? I am looking online but don't see anyone selling tappets with different thicknesses. Any help would be appreciated.

Purge Valve

Was everyone’s first purge valve replacement a pain in the ass? Mine took an hour and a half… I never want to touch those connectors again for the rest of my life. It was awful. Oreilys was 65$ with a lifetime warranty and has wayyy better connectors for next time 😂

Wheel Advice MSW Type 29

I want to get a set of MSW Type 29’s but I’m worried about the offset. They are 18x8 but the offset is +45. I don’t want to have to roll the fenders and I’d prefer no rubbing, and also want to lower it eventually to get the fitment flush. Also any recommendations on tires would be helpful, mostly advice on what size tire I need.

Cobb Exhaust Mounts Failed

Well all 4 of the exhaust Mounts on my 2017 ST failed. They were Cobb mounts I had installed with a mountune catback in 2018. Heard a rattling sound after starting the car yesterday and started poking around. All 4 were completely torn down the middle. Thankfully the exhaust held on in spite of that.

I ordered another set of Cobb mounts not knowing else to get. They should last until I sell the car...sometime in the future. I've started wondering about the condition of my mountune RMM. It seems to be working fine though.

New ST

Just picked it up today, super clean, 25k miles. It has been sitting in a garage so it’s dusty. What are some of the first mods I should do?

Looking to buy this, would you say its worth 7k? Any red flags with the build/parts put on? Anything to look out for or worry about? 120k miles says the big turbo was put on 15k miles ago
