FedEx you pos.

this new CPCS policy is bullshit.

I have a package from Japan coming in that I got shipped as soon as possible on the 30th before July 8th nears that you would expect to go by smoothly right? No. Now it’s stuck in customs clearance in the state right next to me and I had to search up manufacturers names and their addresses myself because my proxy is (understandably) unable to do. I also now have to do an FDA/PNSI form for some snacks I ordered from Japan when I never had to do that before? And of course I’m given the fucking deadline of July 8th. WHY ARE YOU GUYS EVEN DOING THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE THEN? ITS NOT JULY 8TH AT ALL. I HAD TO PAY $122 FOR SHIPPING ON THIS.

The parcel failed to be delivered

First, let me preface - we have 3 generations living in our home so someone is home and able to receive a package 99.9% of the time. Yesterday in particular I was working in my office (20 feet from the front door, I have a clear view of our driveway etc from that location because I was waiting an important delivery.

I have a doorbell cam and a driveway cam that notify me whenever anyone is headed up to the door so that I have time to get there and sign for packages. We even had one package delivered via UPS, which I was alerted for and got to the door in time to receive. 1 vehicle pulled into our driveway and one car left to pickup lunch. Nice quiet day.

I was excited because an item I ordered was shown out for delivery and I see “need it for a project I’m working on. It’s a bit heavy at 85 lbs, and it’s a hot day so I wanted to get there quickly so no one is standing in the heat.

About noon I checked the status on the merchants website and saw “The Parcel Failed to be delivered” from about 30 minutes prior. WTF? I pulled up the tracking number and checked the fedex site for detailed tracking and I see “Delivery exception, Customer not available or business closed” just before noon local time. “Oh no! How did I miss that?” So I checked the driveway and doorbell cams - absolutely nothing.

No one attempted delivery, there weren’t even any fedex trucks that drove past our house - we live in a quiet neighborhood with minimum street traffic so we only had 20-30 cars go past and it was mainly neighbors heading out or coming back.

I don’t mind delays for valid reasons or if I was in the bathroom or any valid reasons, up to and including “it was too damn hot and this is a heavy box”. Come up to the door and I’ll come get it, I don’t want anyone to hurt themselves, I have a dolly and you can even leave it by the garage door and ring the bell, I’ll take it from there if I need to.

Lying is a whole different ballgame though. Not even making an effort to make it believable is just insulting. Even worse, there doesn’t appear to be any actual official way to report something like this.

This is mainly venting because clearly they just don’t care and if I try to push the issue I’m concerned about retaliation by the delivery drivers. If they don’t have the integrity to do what they are paid to do, what keeps them from “accidentally” dropping or causing damage on future occasions? We are in a relatively quiet area and I’m sure it would not be hard to figure out who complained about you. I’m sure the reason they provided is a catch-all that keeps their stats up. Hopefully today’s delivery person (it says it’s out for delivery so fingers crossed I’ll actually get it today).

🚨 FedEx Stole My iPhone? 🚨

⚠️** FedEx is scamming people. Be careful**. ⚠️
It’s been over a month since my iPhone 17 Pro disappeared while in FedEx’s possession.
Since then, I’ve received nothing but the same scripted response:
“We’ll update you once an update is available.”
FedEx has opened multiple cases, but they never provide any actual updates.
❌ No explanation.
❌ No refund.
❌ No update to the merchant.
❌ No accountability.
At this point, it feels like my iPhone was stolen while in FedEx’s custody, and FedEx refuses to take responsibility or provide any meaningful information.
If you’re shipping expensive electronics with FedEx, think twice. Document everything and be prepared for endless delays and no answers if something goes wrong.
Has anyone else had a package disappear with FedEx? Share your experience below.
