Snorkeling Isla Lobos

My husband and I love snorkeling and we are trying to figure out whether to

  1. take an excursion that will take us to spots on the water near isla lobos, concern is being rushed

Or

  1. Take the ferry there and snorkel on our own time without being rushed. Concern is no good snorkel spots directly off the beach.

I hope this makes sense as I’m very jet lagged. Thank you in advance. Also I would love any and all snorkeling reccos for Fuerteventura.

Fureventua Castillo beach park

Please beware of these 3 people. I was at the pool at Castillo Beach when a family, two of whom are much larger and older than me (I’m 24 and around 8 stone), proceeded to come over and try to lift and drag my 4-year-old daughter off a sunbed, and then tried to do the same to me.

They then decided they were going to try to attack me twice in front of everyone in the pool area, until their daughter, who was wearing a yellow top, had to drag them away.

I’m on holiday by myself with my daughter, and I was threatened and nearly attacked over using a sunbed. I couldn’t thank the women who came to my rescue enough for running over to protect and help me and my daughter in the middle of all the chaos.

I know people laugh and joke about “sunbed wars”, but this was beyond that. Please be careful when using the sunbeds, as some people take this “war” very seriously.

Coming back after a few years. Looking for tips on anything new or what’s changed

Hi! My wife and I have visited Fuerteventura five times in the past fifteen years but last time was about four years ago.

I was wondering if anything new has opened that’s worth checking out? Even before our last visit maybe we missed it.

We know the island really well. We go to rest and to have long relaxing evenings cooking the local seafood and driving to quiet fishing villages for tapas by the sea.

We stay in Caleta but drive all over. We always get a lunch in at the Vaca Azul in El Cotillo. One visit I remember visiting a traditional Spanish place inland with great goat stew and sweet blood sausage.

I guess we’re looking for anything new or unexpected that we may not have done before for those days where we want to get out and about.

Thank you!

Cafés or bars where I can work with my laptop?

Hi everyone!

I'm going to be spending some time in Fuerteventura and I'll need to work remotely for a few days. I'm looking for cafés, bars or other places where it's okay to sit with a laptop and work for a couple of hours.

I'm also very conscious of not being "that person" who takes up a table for hours while only ordering one coffee 😅, so I'm specifically looking for places where this is considered okay.

Do you have any recommendations? Ideally places with a quiet or comfortable atmosphere where I can actually get some work done.

Thanks! 😊

Hi I recently went to the sheraton resort in Caleta de Fuste and I would say it is more couples and families. Do many of you go to resorts as a Solo traveller because all over the canaries its heavily tailored for families and couples.

I went with my family to this Fuerteventura resort, lovely island and resort but would love to go back solo but anxious going solo as all 4 islands feel very tailored to families and couples. I would be anxious going into dinner solo when it is packed with families and couples

I have looked into apartments but there are not as many available on the islands it seems unlike say australia
