My most (?) compact landscape setup

This for me is an almost perfect easily backpack-able landscape camera setup. GFX100ii with GF20-35mm f4, GF45-100mm f4; X-T5 with Sigma 17-40mm f1.8, XF50-140mm f2.8; and the Mamiya 645 Super with 45mm f2.8, 35mm f2.8, and 80mm f2.8. No tripod needed. I have other GF and X-mount lenses but these cover most of the bases. Sometimes I sport a Sony A7RV and full spectrum A7CR with the FE 20-70mm f4 and the GM70-200mm f2.8 GMII.

Gotta love the light (daylight through green water in aquarium).
Really appreciating my Setup. Taking photos for over 20 years now and this camera is like a dream come true to me.
Fujifilms color handling is like a revelation.

GFX in SF

Took my (new to me) GFX100rf out on a test run in SF last week. Still trying learn the cameras nuances in comparison to what I’m familiar with (R5 and x100VI).

Overall, I’m impressed with how enjoyable it is to use. I’m shooting mostly manual with it, and I do really enjoy how it makes you think about the image before you take it. The colors come out fantastic with very little need to push colors one way or the other in post. The files are huge but so much so that I can’t edit on my iPad if needed. I’ll continue to shoot raw and add Fuji presets in LR depending on what suits the shot.

I believe it will struggle in low light in comparison to my Canon. However, I still haven’t pushed it to its limits.

Looking forward to more practice. Figured I’d start putting my work out there to share and get feedback.

GFX100RF - Over 1 Year Later

Hey everyone,

Realized that I've had my GFX100RF for over a year now. I ordered when it was announced and haven't looked back, have had no regrets. It's been my most used camera, my only real issue is deciding which gear I should hold on to.

The whole feel and experience reminds me of when I first got my X100S in 2013, really feel like I can express myself.

The only thing that'd make me jump ship from this body is if they release a 100R. Even if it had no IBIS, I'd still jump to it just for the versatility.

Fuji Pro Support Help?

I’ve been struggling to get help from Fuji on an issue with my GF 45-100. I’m hoping someone here can help expedite the process or suggest alternate paths forward.

I had a trip to China in March and when reviewing all the photos I’m finding that I’m getting irregular depth of field.

In this photo, the bottom left corner is significantly distorted / blurred / smeared. The bottom and center are sharp.

In other photos, I’ve found that shooting distant buildings from a roof top will seem to have sharp foreground buildings hundreds of feet away, then on the left the mid ground is smeared / distorted, but then miles away the background will be sharp again. Overall the left side of my frames to have issues, but not always.

I’ve sent the lens to Fuji and it passed their resolution test and yes, when it is sharp it’s incredibly sharp. I don’t know if they’ve been able to test the resolution when shooting distant subjects or only in studio with resolution charts at short distances.

I’ve seen this behavior wide open and down to f/8 , 11, and 16.

My suspicion is an element is out of alignment and I’ve shared full res photos to Fuji but they haven’t responded with a conclusion in the last three weeks, just that they are still waiting for their techs to review the images.

I understand their time may be limited , but at this point I’m afraid to take the 45-100 out for photos because the images might be unusable for print. I’ve already left it behind on a trip to Hawaii and missed the range.

I have tested with my collection (20-35, 55, 110, 100-200, 250) of other GF lenses and this seems to be a 45-100 issue. I’ve offered to pay for repairs, though I feel like this should be a factory service.

Any Fuji techs here willing to help ?

Thank you.
