I can understand that FF wants landlords to be responsive, but docking me in the algorithm if I don't respond to every inane, uneducated, and useless inbound message within 24 hours is not working. I am fully leased into 2027, my calendar is up to date, and yet the messages keep coming asking me if someone might "leave early" or I'd make an exception and do a 2-month lease when my minimum is clearly stated as 6 months.

This new "shot clock" should be paired with at least a minimum quality/relevancy threshold imposed on each inbound message. FF should be using AI or implementing some other check to ensure inbound messages subject to the timer are relevant and actionable.

Anyone else annoyed/frustrated?

Why are the pet fees absolutely ridiculous? Why have pet rent?

I posted this as a comment for someone, but I thought it might be helpful to other hosts too.

I was having a slow spell on my listing that was coming open in less than a month and I was getting nervous because winter is coming and I didn't want it vacant. I was wondering if 'engaging' with my listing would help bump it in any algorithms. (Kind of like a Google listing)

So, I went in and clicked on a few things and changed up some of the wording (like one sentence) and that very day I got an inquiry- they ended up not being a match, but the next day I got another one who ended up renting it. And then a few days later, another good option while I was chatting with the first renter.

I have no idea if it was just a coincidence or not, but figured I'd share just in case it was helpful. Might be worth a try if you haven't had anyone engaging lately. The other bonus was it got my response time up because I was able to respond right away.
