Botanical Sciences MMJ prices are getting out of hand.

90$ for a gram of anything is fucking crazy.

Flower is trash and they have the nerve to charge 60 for a 3.5 for greenhouse flower

no way their pairo vapes are a full gram

and now 1 gram capes are 75-90$

with prices like this id rather deal with my disability And pay 4$ for rx from public and that is crazy…

the point was to get away from mystery pills now its looking like the only option smh

Bout to go back to Florida for real ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY NOT THE PATIENTS

AURA Galaxy Gas - Fine Fettle

I’m very impressed with the Galaxy Gas 1G Vape from Fine Fettle. I had tried both the Candy Store and Straw Trop Cherry 1G Live Resin from Botanical Sciences previously. I have to say this is the best vape I have tried from the GA MMJ program so far.

Effects are strong and come on instantly. Plenty of vapor production too and decent flavor. The Live Resin BS vapes do have better flavor but the vapor production was less and effects not as strong.

If vaping is your method of choice, I would give the AURA line a try.

Quality in GA

As someone who has waited for Georgia to go medical for so long, it’s amazing to have the option we have now. That being said, I hear a lot of positive feedback here on the quality on of what’s available and I just wanted to give my thoughts as a patient:

The flower is just decent. That’s it. It produces a decent vapor, but all of it seems dehydrated beyond belief, there are no interesting phenotypes, and the overall smell is closer to hay than high grade.

The vapes: distillate is garbage. Adding terps and all that is great, but it’s still just a mild effect vs full spectrum and it raises your tolerance quicker than anything without ever really getting you there. The new live resin vapes are great, but $90 is nuts when comparable products are $30-60 in nearly every other medical market.

The prices in general are not reflective of what the quality of this cannabis represents.

So I am grateful of course to finally have these options, but someone has to speak for the trees and this stuff could just be so much better

Overall Experience- BS

Made my way to Botanical Sciences at Marietta for the first time to pick up some things. Good experience overall, i had been doing some research so i was in and out pretty quick. Wish they had a bigger flower selection and it seems they have been out of most of the strains for a few days. Overall the products quality is good, of course a little too expensive.

The flower (headband) is decent, nothing too crazy but it does the job. Not the most “gas” smell but good taste. We are still in the initial phases of this program so i expect this only to get better and for the love of the game CHEAPER!!!

The Disposable i got is the Bubba Kush 1g distillate, this hits and feels actually pretty great. I wanted something with no artificial flavor and true to the terpenes/flavor of the flower and this vape did just that. Highly recommend if you want something tasty but doesn’t smell, very discreet. The hardware hits hard and its so small! Love it. I would definitely purchase this product again

The S2 citrus flavored ingestible is pretty good,
Only had about 3 squares in one sitting and i felt medicated, relaxed and really enjoyed the feeling. Perfect for after work or if you need some help with body aches. I would get this again!

I will be making my way to other dispensaries eventually and trying out the different products! Never thought here in Georgia i would be saying this but im glad i can!

Any other edibles/ingestibles-only users disappointed with the recent offerings?

I had lung surgery over a decade ago and never felt comfortable smoking or vaping afterwards. As a result, I've been only consuming edibles/ingestibles as my sole form of cannabis ever since. I have Crohn's and use cannabis for appetite stimulation, digestive regulation, pain relief and relaxation, primarily at night.

I would always typically make my own edibles, but finding good quality flower reliably to infuse was a challenge as it either came from the black market or loophole hemp and who knows what was done to these plants before they got to me.

I was very excited to finally get my medical card and was hoping to find high quality ingestible products with accurate dosages, as well as hopefully be able to buy high quality flower to infuse.

In reality, the ingestible options have only decreased since the July 1st flower/vape expansion. One of my favorite products was the 20:1 capsules at fine fettle; it was $40 for 20x20mg THC capsules which was a reasonable price for me, and I loved how I could open them up and sprinkle the contents into food or drinks. Now these are gone and not planning to be restocked from what I've been told.

The actual edibles (troches, chocolates, etc) sold at these dispensaries are very overpriced and not worth it at all. They seem designed for people who have never used cannabis before which seems odd for medical cannabis patients...

The only decent offering are the RSO syringes that Trulieve offers at $55 for 1g, but these can be hard to dose accurately and are only offered at Trulieve which is an hour drive from me, and FF/Botanical seem to refuse to stock Trulieve products and selling their own line of RSO seems to be a very low priority

At this point I've basically gone back to buying from the loophole hemp market which I am really saddened by as I really want to support the state medical market, but I can't do that if they don't support my needs as a patient. For example, I can get a bag of 60x50mg live rosin THC gummies (3000mg total) for $112 shipped to my door from wnc-cbd. That's about 3x more value than any comparable offering from the medical dispensaries.

Just really sad and hopefully things improve on this front in the coming year or two

Georgia Medical Marijuana Careers

Any jobs in medical marijuana if Georgia?????? I am a past hemp producer with experience in hydroponic, living soil breeding marijuana, cloning and everything cannabis from seed to sale. I had my hemp producers license until last year when the farm bill changed and killed the Hemp/CBD industry in Georgia. There are a lot of qualified growers that would benefit these medical marijuana companies that actually need jobs now and there are no available jobs in this new booming industry. I see the prices of flower and quality in the dispensaries and it’s a joke. $45-55 for an eighth of a strain called Candy Store with 17% THC. That is a joke. First of all Candy Store is a strain from Ethos Genetics who are average breeders at best. I am a medical patient also and the dispensaries cannot even keep up with demand. I have reached out to a specific company who I won’t name here 4 times and can’t even get a response. They claim to be “Georgia Grown”. That should mean you grow in Georgia and hire citizens of Georgia. There are a lot of farmers that would love a shot but there are no job fairs, job listings, nothing. And I live 20 minutes from one of these huge grow facilities. Another example of big AG not giving a shit. If I’m wrong someone please enlighten me. Black market weed is better than medical in Georgia.

Update on Treevana

Treevana in Millegville now has whole flower. One strain only, indica. A little less dry and a little more flavor than what I've tried from the big 3.
I also learned a little more about the company, they grow, process and package their own products in house.
Flower was $45 for 3.5g.

Headband Review- Botanical Science

-actually very tasty, nice and clean high.
-Not too dry but also not super moist.
-smell wasnt “loud” but it smelled nice, honestly tasted better than what it smelled like.
Would buy again, but id love to try the premium versions of the daybreak line to compare them.
7.8/10

Medical Marijuana Can Be Delivered In The Mail By USPS Under Trump’s Rescheduling Move, Georgia Officials Say

Georgia regulators are proposing new rules that will allow medical marijuana to be delivered directly to patients—including via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and private carriers like FedEx and UPS.

Would you consider using if allowed by mail in Florida? Would think for certain products it would make for sense more than others. What say you?

Andrew Epstein DO, Leafwell

Heads up, for anybody applying for a medical license through leafwell, if Andrew Epstein was your physician you will be likely denied. (Google the stuff he has going on in other states). If you reach back out to leafwell you should be able to reschedule a new consultation free of charge but you’ll probably need to speak with a human. Hope this helps dealing with this headache.

Nuggmd Nightmare

Just trying to warn people and also trying to look for an alternative while I wait on my refund.

A family member of mine let me know about this website and talked about how quick and easy it was for them to get their medical card approved. I paid for the consultation Saturday of last week and it immediately put me in a telehealth waiting room. I sat around for about half an hour before it punted me out of there and said that the Doctor was offline. Reached out to customer support, and I guess I should have just assumed that there was nobody available on a Saturday (even though it doesn’t show any hours and took my money no problem)

Customer support told me to log on at 9 Monday, when the doctor was going to be available. I wait 2 days, set aside a half hour of work in the morning, and for 30 minutes I once again stared at the “Doctor is Offline“ screen. Reached out to support again, and an hour later support goes “oh actually she’ll be in at 10:15”. I can’t just stop in the middle of my workday for this, so I settle on trying it at lunch (for me about 1:30)

Just logged on and once again, offline. Customer support says that their GA doctors are all having technical issues at the same time somehow, but that my doctor was online (she wasn’t) and if it still wasn’t working to try again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, they don’t show or tell you the hours, they don’t let you switch your doctor (they did it to me randomly after I messaged support today), and you can’t set an appointment time or anything. Has anyone else had success with them? Should I just keep trying or should I get my refund? Any other websites that don’t give you the runaround like this?

Help an old noob

I just got my card and visited a local dispensary. Picked up a couple of things but learned something brand new. Basically, my knowledge about cannabis went out of date a couple of decades ago. I believe I'm more of a Indica or Hybrid person as I'm looking for pain relief, calming and rest.
I bought a couple of carts (Trulieve) to use with a 510 battery and they work OK. I also tried some Live Resin (Rosin?) last week and it was really good. I'd like to try some flower and other things to find the best blend for me. I can only have a bit of flower as I can't smoke in the house.
So, I'd love some advice and links to content that would be helpful for someone here in GA.

Different vaps

Has anyone been able to try fettle, Trulieve and botanical science vaps?
I’ve only done the ones from botanical. The flavored ones are the best they have to me. The ones with the flower strains I’m not liking much.
