Transfer Student

Hi, so basically I wanted to go to gsu for freshman year, however I wasn’t able to do to the price of out of state tuition( I live in ga but I haven’t been here for 12months), so i’m currently going to ga state perimeter college which was the best community college I could find, however I would like to transfer to ga southern next year. What would be the requirements?

49 YO Computer Science Undergraduate

Hi everyone,

Are there any older non-traditional undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Computer Science? Or, are there any older students pursuing technology based undergraduate degrees?

If there are, what’s life like on campus? Are we as welcome as any other students pursuing technology? If there are any alumni in this board, what’s life like in terms of your age and the fact that while your bodies may be old(er), your knowledge and skills are up to par?

When I should have gone to college, I moved out to Tucson, Arizona to get married at 19 to a total louse. Biggest mistake of my life, because the rest of my young adult life was spent healing from his abuse and realizing he never loved me. So now, I am pursuing that Bachelor’s degree and I’m on my way to bigger and better things!

Anyway, nice to meet everyone and I hope I didn’t freak anyone out. 😇

Rising HS Senior Seeking Research Lab to Contribute To - Can Commit Through June 2027

Hi! I’m a rising senior at a public STEM high school in Georgia, and I’m hoping to find a professor, grad student, or lab anywhere in Georgia that has worked with high school students before.

I’m interested in cancer biology, biomedical research, pharmaceutical, or anything health‑related, and I’m mainly looking for a chance to observe or help with simple tasks so I can learn how research works. I can commit through June 2027, and possibly longer depending on where I attend college.

I know opportunities for high school students are limited, but if anyone has leads on labs open to mentoring, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you for reading!

Is Georgia Southern considered a good university?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of applying to Georgia southern but before applying I wanna know if the university is considered good, especially the Master of Fine arts program. I would really appreciate it if anyone can tell me something about this.

What are things to do for a college student that doesn't attend GSU?

I know it's summer, but I do want to try and visit the campus when I can. I am a college student attending a university, tho it's not GSU, but I did always love the campus and how big it is and how it gave off the feels of a big university. I wanted to know what are some things a college student that doesn't attend GSU can do for fun that they can be allowed to do since obviously a non-attending student can't enter certain buildings.

Need A Girl to Cover My Lease

Last semester I signed a lease with my 3 roommates for a 4 bed/2 bath apartment at Southern Downs. Unfortunately I had to cancel my part of the lease since I can no longer attend GSU next semester (Fall 2026). All 3 of my roommates are still on the lease so they just need one girl to fill my spot. Rent is about $650 (I’m not sure of the exact amount because it’s not on the website and it’s not in any of the emails) and the lease is from August 2026 to July 2027. If anyone is interested please comment or message me and I will get you the details!

Study abroad

Anyone know anything about studying abroad? I wanna go to Korea (cau) but they’re not offering anything and idk if they will anytime soon. Ik the best offer is to go through the school because of credits and financial aid but also if I apply 3rd party I’ll be guaranteed to go rather than waiting to see if they’ll offer the trip before I graduate. Lmk im not well versed in this at all.
