Is lunch w/ professors after convocation free without meal plan?

Just want to make sure whether or not the food is free for all freshmen, or if you must pay for it.

GSU students/current Radiation Therapy students — what classes do I actually need before applying?

GSU students/current Radiation Therapy students — what classes do I actually need before applying?
I’m a freshman at Georgia Southern Armstrong and I’m planning to apply to the Radiation Therapy concentration within Radiologic Sciences. I’m having a really hard time figuring out exactly which classes I’m supposed to take before I can apply to the actual program.
Honestly, my advisor hasn’t been very helpful and I’m trying to make sure I’m taking the right prerequisites and not wasting semesters on classes I don’t need.
If you’re currently in the GSU Radiation Therapy program, already applied, or recently completed the prerequisites, could you please tell me:
What classes did you take your freshman and sophomore years before applying?
Which classes are actual Radiation Therapy prerequisites?
Which classes are just general education/core requirements?
What classes did you have completed before submitting your application?
Is there a specific order I should take the science/math classes in?
What GPA/TEAS score did you have when you got accepted?
Are there any classes you wish you had taken earlier?
Does anyone have a semester-by-semester schedule they used before applying?
I’m especially looking for answers from Georgia Southern students who are actually in the Radiation Therapy program, preferably Armstrong students.
I’m just trying to make sure I’m on the right track from freshman year instead of finding out sophomore/junior year that I took the wrong classes. 😭
Any help would be REALLY appreciated!
I’m currently taking- CWP-1000, ENGL-1101, FLYT-1001, MATH-1111, POLS-1101 PSYC-1101

Georgia Southern Football 2026 Preview - two-deep and win probabilities

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Georgia Southern one

https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/georgia-southern-eagles

It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.

Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.

So, what'd I get wrong? Georgia Southern went 7-6 with a bowl win over App State, but got outgained by 57 yards a game in Sun Belt play and still went 4-4, plus 4-1 in one-score games and plus-6 in turnovers. That combination is why my model has you at bear 20. JC French IV's 2,924 yards are gone, Max Johnson arrives from North Carolina off 437, and OJ Arnold's 1,037 rushing yards leave too. Model says 6-6. Where's it wrong?

I'll be in the comments.

Question about HOPE scholarship

I'm a bit confused rn and unsure if I need to go and cancel the student loans I accepted for this semester, but for some reason under the Financial Aid Offers tab in WINGS it says I have the HOPE scholarship for this school year despite the fact that I haven't done enough hours yet. This is my second semester and I only have 16 hours from my first as well as a 3.5 GPA, but I didn't graduate high school with a 3.0 so I didn't think I'd qualify until after this Fall. I already plan on calling the Financial Aid office on Monday to have them look at it, as there's a chance I'd be able to cancel the loans I accepted recently. Have any of y'all had experiences like this?

How can I afford housing at Georgia Southern?

I’m planning to attend Georgia Southern on campus next fall, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how I’m going to afford housing.

I can afford most of my other college expenses, but housing is the one major expense that I really can’t afford right now. I really want to live on campus and continue with my degree, so I’m trying to find as many options as possible.

Does Georgia Southern offer any scholarships specifically for housing or room and board? Are there any grants, emergency funds, or other programs that can help with housing costs?

If anyone has been in a similar situation at Georgia Southern, I’d really appreciate hearing what you did or what resources you found. I’m also planning to ask my advisor about scholarships and financial assistance.

Thanks!

Statistics?

Hi! I’m attending this fall at the Armstrong campus and I am taking intro to statistics. I’ve never taken statistics before as in HS I opted for precalc. I bought the TI-36x Pro because I read that it’s a really cheap and effective calculator for stats. Stats is the last math class I need to take as I’ve taken college algebra and pre calculus already. However, the professor just released the class syllabus and she requires the TI-84 CE graphing calculator. This is an expensive calculator and I’m wondering if it will even be more helpful to buy this one? If you have taken intro to stats here, what calc did you use, or if you had the TI-84 CE, was it worth it? Thanks xo

Anyone dealt with this SAP issue?

When I came back to GSU I was struggling pretty hard, I had no business going back to school at that moment and just absolutely tanked a couple of semesters to the point that I was put on FA suspension. I won an appeal and have not made below a “B” in a single class since, nor withdrawn from any classes, as well as being back in “Good Standing” for a year now.

I’m going into my last year now being ineligible for financial aid because “While on Financial Aid PROBATION, you failed to meet the academic requirements set by the Financial Aid SAP Appeal Review Committee. Your stipulations stated that you must make C’s or better with no withdrawals and be in good standing within 3 terms.”

While I understand everyone’s situations and SAP guidelines may be different, I am just curious if anyone has run into this specific issue with FA and what you did about it. I’ve called the office, emailed, I have had a ticket open since last Tuesday (8/4) to no resolution. So I suppose that’s why I’m throwing this out to yall, to see if anyone has had a similar, idk mix up is all I can think to call it, and any possible resolutions/outcomes. Thanks!!

Anyone know the creepy dude on Armstrong campus?

Kinda an IYKYK thing but multiple of my friends/acquaintances have had creepy experiences with this dude. Most likely middle eastern, black short hair with beard. Usually wearing a hoodie. Kinda just lingers around campus in areas around people, and many have seen him talking to himself it seems like? Let me know if yall know this guy cus literally everyone I’ve talked to seems to have some sort of weird experience involving him.
