Has anyone been able to find a working mod to restore the music?
I’ve got one from GTAinsider but it doesn’t seem to work. I’ve followed the instructions to a T. Playing the definitive edition on steam.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know this question probably gets asked all the time but if I haven't played any of these games since I was a child does it matter which one I buy? I know the trilogy is only on rockstar and the definitive is on steam. Is the Definitive really that bad?

I am wanting to start one of the games from the trilogy but I can't decide between the 3. Which one do you reccomend the most? I have played San Andreas and Vice City previously on Ps2 but I can't decide which one to start playing on Switch 2 so which one has the best gameplay between the 2? I have never played the other GTA so I don't know if that one is worth starting.
Has anybody else played DE trilogy on the switch 2?
TLDR: Are my DE performance issues gta 3 related or switch 2 related?
I'm about to finish my 100% of GTA 3. All I have left are the unique stunts and then I'm moving on to vice city.
Does it get any... Better performance wise? I was mostly struggling with side missions and the rendering distance for npcs and vehicles. The "kill x gang members" missions and rampages were really frustrating at times because enemies would blink into and out of existence seemingly randomly. Or they wouldn't spawn frequently if I was moving fast in a car.
I haven't played any of these games since they originally released on the ps2, and I remember them being somewhat similar.. But I've been seeing videos of people playing DE on PC and the render distances seem much more reasonable.
So is it GTA 3 that is the problem? Or the switch 2? Does switch 2 handle vice city and San andreas OK?

I know this is counterintuitive, but I was tossing up between playing the OGs (III, Vice City & SA) on a PS2 emulator or getting the definitive edition, and ended up getting the latter for the sake of achievements and it being on sale on Steam.
Are there any recommended mods for the three games to help revert it back to the OGs, besides the obvious radio restoration?
Hey guys so trying to get 100% on GTA SA and currently stuck at 99.47% and I have no clue what I’ve missed I have been using guides but they’ve not helped whatsoever from memory the things I’ve done are
- all missions
- all courier missions
- all collectibles
- all shooting range challenges
- all driving/flight/boat classes
- bought the 3 properties
- bought every safe house
- done the BMX/NRG 500 challenges
- done all 3 Chiliad challenges
- done vigilante/paramedic/fire missions to level 12
- exported all 3 car lists
- unlocked the 3 gym moves
- done all 4 stadium challenges
- done the 2 train missions and got level 10 in pimping
- done all 25 valet missions
- done all 8 trucking missions
So not entirely to sure what I’ve missed I am playing on ps5 and yea any help would be muchly appreciated 🫶🏼

Pre ordered the definitive edition when it first came out back in 21’, I maybe only played an hour or so of SA but due to other games to play at the time I never really gave it a proper shot. I first played the og VC & SA back when I was 5/6yr old so everything kinda went over my head at the time - now I’m thinking of actually playing them since they’re in my library and something to play up until GTA 6 release.
Not too interested in GTA3 in all fairness, prefer SA & VC way more for some whatever reason, anyways, are they worth a shot? I see TGG has been playing some VC and that’s what got me thinking about playing since I have it myself.
I wanna get a physical copy of the GTA Trilogy on PlayStation, but I’ve noticed that there’s no physical copy on PS5, just PS4. Apparently there’s no upgrade either.
How does the PS4 version run on a PS5? I’m wondering if I should just get the PS4 versions physically, or if I should get the Xbox copy that has the current-gen versions.
I think the PS4 physical copy looks nicer, but the Xbox copy gives me the current-gen version, so Idk.
Picked up the remaster trilogy on sale and I’m near the start of San Andreas but I’m not sure what I’m doing with the stats & stuff.
gta.worldcomp.distmult=8.0It works the same for any game in the trilogy. That way, you don't need any mods, and the game will remain stable. If your PC isn't strong enough, change the value from 8.0 to 4.0 (it still looks great).
I saw definitive edition on sale and thought I'd buy it cause I've only seen playthroughs of the trilogy but I want the old music back specifically Billie Jean and Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ I looked and saw some people say the old mod for it is broken is it true?
I have been looking to replay the OG games, through PC, but I saw that in Steam, they only got the Remastered version, when looking at the Rockstar website it shows these two versions, so I was wondering if both are the remastered, or does it have the OG ones.
My last trophy needed was the beat 25 gangsters with melee lol the medics healing the guys was funny to me like yes help me end them again for my trophy lol 😂
As a kid I didn't think anything of it but as an adult, I'm really against the idea of pimping out Mercedes to these ugly, probably disease ridden, wannabe rockers. Is it possible to beat the game without doing their stupid crap?

I have acquired the heat seeking missile launcher for the San Fierro airport specifically to compete this mission, when doing the mission am I going to be forced to use the RPG on the helipad or is it passable with the heat seeker without cheating?
Edit: I haven’t played this game in 10 or 15 years, don’t remember how I passed the mission the first time and was originally wondering if the mission would replace what I have in the RPG slot or required me to use the RPG provided.
