finally platinumed the gta trilogy - my experience with each game

I finally platinumed the entire GTA trilogy, so I figured I’d share my experience with each game and what I thought about the platinum journey.

GTA III

I started with GTA III, and it took me 4 days to get the platinum. It could’ve been shorter, but fucking paramedics was torture lol. That was a platinum by itself. I was so relieved when I finally got it done in Staunton island, because I couldn’t do it in Portland at all.

vigilante was also giving me some trouble at first. In the OG version, I used the pause/unpause method, but that method wasn’t added to the Definitive Edition, so it took me a while to get it done but it wasn’t difficult.

Other than that, it was a decent experience. the paramedic mission was so fucking bad that it genuinely traumatized me. Just thinking about it makes me wanna break my controller**.**😂 (skill issue i know😔) But besides that, GTA III was a very fun game.

GTA Vice City

Vice City is my favorite game in the trilogy, so I was really excited to go for this one. it took me 6 days to get the platinum, and honestly, the experience was genuinely perfect. I loved pretty much every moment of it.

The most boring part was doing the 100 taxi fares, but I was bumping to V-Rock the whole time, so it wasn’t too bad.🤘🏽

The paramedic missions was surprisingly easy compared to GTA III. I got it first try, which was a huge relief after what happened in GTA III.

Overall, Vice City was easily the easiest and most enjoyable of the 3 for me.

GTA San Andreas

San Andreas has a lot of stuff to do for 100%, but most of it was pretty fun and easy. It also took me 6 days to get the platinum. I’m really glad stunt jumps aren’t required for 100% and Taxi only requires 50 fares instead of 100 like GTA III and Vice City, so that didn’t take too long.

The fucking oysters and tags were so fucking boring though. Getting the oysters was awful. I was genuinely fighting boredom trying to get all 50 of them lol.

Taking over every territory also took me a few hours because, for some reason, enemies would just refuse to spawn in certain territories. But other than those things, it was pretty chill. paramedics is by far the easiest in San Andreas. I did it in Angel Pine. (who didn’t?)😂

This game is definitely the most grindy because of how big the map is. Some things take a lot of time, especially Import/Export, which took me about 3 hours.

Overall, GTA III is my least favorite, not because it’s a bad game, but because the other two games are just way better, and cause the paramedic mission was just a pain. never ever doing that again**.** San Andreas is definitely the most grindy, but honestly, most of the requirements were pretty fun, easy, and manageable. The only things that really bored me were the Tags and Oysters, because collecting all of them was just so boring. Rockstar finally made a protagonist that can swim and decided to add collectibles in the ocean.😐 and Vice City is the easiest and most enjoyable, atleast in my opinion. It’s also the first GTA i ever played, so this game has always had a special place for me. I genuinely love everything about this game. The 80s vibes, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, everything. The whole game is just beautiful. I just hate how Tommy looks completely different from the OG version, but besides that, the Vice City Definitive Edition is really great. I’d definitely platinum this game again someday.
