I’ve been using my phone for the last four years. Recently, the back panel came off on its own. Today, I put it in my pocket, and when I got home, I noticed it was completely covered in water. I didn't think it would be an issue because it got wet during the rain on June 1st and worked fine. However, today it is automatically stuck in airplane mode and showing no network coverage. Does anyone have a solution?
Today is a bittersweet day.
After 4.5 years, I'm saying goodbye to my Galaxy S20 FE 5G—my first Samsung phone and my first Snapdragon-powered Samsung device. It served me incredibly well all these years without even needing a battery replacement.
Instead of selling it, I'm passing it on to my dad. He has been using a Redmi Note 7 Pro, which had become quite slow over the years (I even installed a custom ROM on it to keep it usable). From today, he'll be using his first Samsung smartphone, and I'm really happy this phone gets a second life with him.
As for me, after working for a year and saving from my salary, I finally bought my dream phone—the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
It still doesn't feel real. Ever since the Galaxy Note10 era, I've wanted Samsung's top flagship. I used to watch countless videos and think, "Maybe one day." That day has finally come.
The S20 FE will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️
I bought a used g780g 8x256 a few months ago. Unfortunately when I went to replace the battery I broke the fingerprint flex, so now I've had to use face unlocking, but it's very bad and I want to fix the fingerprint reader. I live in a village where there is no authorized samsung service, and they say that if I replace the fingerprint sensor they need to calibrate it else it wont work. Is that true? I can only get one fingerprint taken from another phone, but I've read that the reader is tied to the processor and if I change it it it won't work. I want to know if all that is true or someone has already replaced their fingerprint on their own. Please tell me, i don't want to change the entire motherboard just for a simple fingerprint sensor.
Hi fellow tribe mates, I need your invaluable guidance.
Current situation of my S20 FE (Snapdragon): I purchased it in May 2021 and using it since then. The back panel came out last year, and with that, it lost its water repellent capabilities. Battery has degraded significantly, SOT is around 2 hrs. Since, last couple of weeks : It started showing issues like the touch screen stops functioning intermittently or with using it for more than 10 minutes, and starts working again if I restart it. It overheats in the mid region and starts lagging etc.
I believe its now time to retire it - i am getting an exchange value of Rs. 7000 (USD 75), and go with a new phone.
I am considering these options: Samsung S25 Ultra Iphone 17 or 17 pro.
My requirements and needs:
A strong all rounder for day to day usage. ( I don't play games, and I am not a content creator). Primary usage: Daily companion. Smooth Lag free, premium experience (nice heptics, solid feel)
Good screen- Media consumption (Streaming, browsing reddit, instagram, youtube etc.), Work profile - emails, chats and Teams (when away from my laptop)
Great camera - point and shoot, mostly on auto.
Great battery - should last atleast 1 day with mid to heavy usage. Plan to keep it for atleast next 4 years.
Dilemma: I have been using Samsung for over 12-13 years now (Samsung Grand, S7, S20FE), and i feel i am a bit bored with One UI.
My only experience with Apple devices is that I have an iPad and i hate that there's no back button at times. I bought it for media consumption. Given, i am not significantly acquainted with the Apple iOS, i am not sure if it is worthy to make the switch.
Please drop in your suggestions or feedback, really appreciate any help. (I need to make the purchase in the next few hours)

I'm considering installing MintOS (One UI 8) on my Galaxy S20 FE and wanted to hear from people who have already made the switch.
I'm mainly interested in the risks, common issues, and things I should know before flashing. Some questions I have:
- What bugs have you experienced? (Battery, camera, fingerprint, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, etc.)
- Is it stable enough for daily use?
- Are there any features that don't work or have limitations?
- Any important tips or precautions before unlocking the bootloader and flashing?
One thing that also confuses me is Google's Play Integrity checks. Despite Google making things more difficult, I've seen quite a few people saying that on the latest MintOS builds:
- Banking apps work normally.
- Google Wallet/Wallet payments work.
- Secure Folder is functional.
- Samsung DeX is supported.
- Play Integrity passes for many users.
How is this possible? Is MintOS using a specific workaround or implementation to maintain compatibility, or does it depend on the device and setup?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences—the good, the bad, and the "I wish someone had told me this before flashing."

Upgrading my S20Fe
I have now used my Galaxy S20Fe 5G since it's launch quite a few years ago. I have now come to the conclusion that it's done it's job and I need a new phone.
However, I was wondering if anyone could help me choose my next Samsung. I think a S-series phone is best for me, but I don't really know which is most worth buying atm. For example; should I buy a S25 (what model?), S26 (models that are in stores) or wait for the S26Fe (maybe that phone or will prices drop??)

I was charging my phone and when I unplugged it, the system became incredibly slow. I think it's running at around 20 or 25 fps. I really don't know what happened and I don't want to do a factory reset. By the way, I have UN1CA as my custom ROM. I need help because this problem is really bothering me.
