As of 2 weeks ago, my phone updated and now it just won't receive calls. I can receive msgs (sometimes) and make out going calls (sometimes) but for the most part it just stops working and need to restart the phone. This only just started and ive had the phone nearly 1.5 years.

It won't ring, it'll send people right to voicemail or on my end just cut the call after 3 seconds of dialing. Im not sure what's going on but it's pissing me off.

It seems Samsung and Google have forgotten that the S25 Ultra meets the specifications required for Gemini Intelligence, probably to push us towards an new phone...

I find this particularly disrespectful to a "premium" clientele, especially since Apple manages to do it with much lower technical requirements.

To make our voices heard, I encourage you to submit support tickets to Samsung and Google. Perhaps if the requests pour in, they might make a small effort to make an "older" phone compatible...

Hey!! I've had my S25 ultra for about a year - my volume down button has completely stopped working, which is frustrating of course.

I'm hoping that I can remap my screenshot buttons to the Power + Volume Up or some other combination, but so far all I've been able to do is to change the side button double press. I use the double press for camera quite often so I am not willing to lose that feature. Unfortunately the Long press does not have the same list of options that the Double press does </3

I've spent some time looking and have not been successful so far, any advice greatly appreciated!

Anyone else having terrible selfie video quality on the Galaxy S25 Ultra in low light?

Photos look completely fine, but selfie videos and video calls look washed out, flat, foggy and overly smoothed. It honestly looks terrible compared to the photo mode.

What’s weird is that GCam works MUCH better on the same phone under the same lighting conditions, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue.

I already tried:

• factory reset
• disabling HDR10+
• disabling Auto FPS
• turning off all beauty filters
• Camera Assistant tweaks
• clearing camera cache/data

Nothing fixes it permanently. After One UI 8.5 it became good again for a while, then the issue randomly came back.

Rear camera is mostly fine. Problem is mainly selfie video and video calls.

Is Samsung applying some forced low-light AI processing that can’t be disabled?

The UI feels much laggier, slower and heavier than before. 8.0 was kinda perfect in terms of smoothness.

10 Betas and 5-6 months of waiting for this...

I was in the beta program but the beta version broke my Google pay. So I opted out and have been waiting for the stable release to fix this issue. But will I even get an update if I'm technically already on 8.5?

I’ve been using Samsung flagships for the last three years, upgrading every cycle from the S23 Ultra to the S25 Ultra. I originally left Apple after a decade because I wanted real innovation. But after seeing what they’ve done with the One UI 8.5 stable release, I’m going back.

​Samsung literally stripped away AI features (like Now Nudge, Ask AI, and the 24MP optimizations), that were working perfectly in the S25 Ultra Beta. There is zero hardware limitation here; the Snapdragon 8 Elite is a beast. They are doing this purely to keep the newest model special.It is insulting.

​Don't market a "7 year update promise" if those updates are just hollow security patches while the actual features are being lobotomized to force us into the next upgrade cycle. Even if Apple is slow to innovate, they don't look their customers in the eye and take away features they already had just to manipulate a sales cycle.

​I sold my iPhone 16 Pro for this device, and it was a huge mistake. I’m selling the S25 Ultra tomorrow. You’ve treated the very customers who chose you and spent thousands of dollars to keep your company afloat like absolute "suckers", but believe me, this betrayal will come back to haunt you.

Samsung, you are a desperate and incompetent Apple copycat, a cheap company. And don’t you forget it "nobody is a sucker."

​TL;DR: Samsung is intentionally gutting software features from the S25 Ultra that worked in Beta just to gatekeep them for the newest model. Hardware isn't the issue; corporate greed is. Moving back to iPhone.
