My brother made the B-wing, Star Destroyer, and TIE Fighter models that were on display in Launch Bay. I’d planned to bring him for a visit to the park in October, but am just now seeing that Launch Bay closed last year :(

Does anyone know if the models from LB have been moved anywhere else in the parks, maybe to Galaxy’s Edge somewhere?

Disney is retiring the Play Disney Parks app effective Sept. 16.

The app currently powers several interactive experiences across Disneyland and Walt Disney World, including Star Wars: Datapad, Batuu Bounty Hunters, DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, attraction queue games, parks trivia, and digital achievements.

I asked about the future of DuckTales World Showcase Adventure at EPCOT and was told there’s no information to share at this time. The experience has been down for refurbishment over the last few weeks.

Batuu Bounty Hunters will remain available after the app is retired, continuing to use MagicBand+ and the existing screens throughout the land. The experience's app component will no longer work as of Sept. 16.

The Star Wars: Datapad will be retired along with the app.

On Sept. 16, the Play Disney Parks app will be removed from app stores and users will no longer be able to log in. So if you want to look back at your achievements or other saved progress, make sure to do it before then.

I haven’t seen any info about this yet (or missed it buried in another post). It looks like this Fortnite thing isn’t going to be the only special event they will be doing. After doing the “special mission” earlier tonight, it definitely felt very generic.

First off, the park app (at least for Disneyland’s) brought up a notification about Hondo needing a special mission done. There was also a button on the app’s home screen under the park hours to start the mission.

Once accepted, whether by just one crew member or all, entering the video briefing before the cockpit gives a very brief bit of Hondo mentioning some of you are on a special mission. Mando will then mention having to collect special crates during the bounty hunt. ( note: i didn’t notice anything special about the crates compared to others; i also only ran the Mando & Grogu mission changes for the first time a couple days ago, so i don’t know if the fortnite stuff was already started by then but i think it started today?)

When the mission starts up, Mando will say during the practice stuff at the beginning that engineers will have to reel in the special crates and gives ones to practice on (basically same as the normal runs).

anyway, nothing mentions fortnite specifically in the actual flight (the app is the only thing that does) and i doubt they did all of the audio and server-side tech work for this just to be a single one-off. i’m sure we’ll see plenty of future content like this for other games (or more for fortnite). For instance, i could see them doing special saber parts / outfits for Cal Kestiss to use in the next “Jedi” series game, or so on.

during my run tonight, i was the only engineer in the group and the only one on the mission (i was a single rider placed with a random group and didn’t want to try to talk the people into opening the app and clicking on stuff to get more of us doing it). i managed to get what i assume was the max of three crates with a solo engineer. i assume with two, the max is six. it didn’t seem like it mattered one way or another on how many i collected.

that said, the scoring also looked different (yellow and brown rather than the normal shades of blue). there was a specific score for the crates. i could potentially see them doing something where people need to build up a collective score in order to unlock future things (like “earn 20,000 total points by collecting crates to unlock this item!”), but i think they’ll just keep it as a simple binary “did you complete the objective?” to award it.

so yeah… i doubt this is the last we’ll see if this sort of promo being done for Smugglers Run.

I’m looking for someone who might be able to help me get a Forsworn Trooper Outfit code. (After anyone else that has already asked.)

From what I understand, you can queue for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and while you’re in the queue for the ride, you can accept Hondo’s mission. You’re normally supposed to link your MyDisney and Epic accounts, but there’s apparently another way to receive the code by itself without linking an Epic account.

Also, if you’re visiting as part of a group, each individual member of the group can apparently receive their own code from going on the ride.

The codes can be redeemed for the outfit until July 13, 2029, so there’s no rush to redeem one immediately.

I’d really appreciate any help getting just 1 for myself. I’m specifically looking for a single code and would be very grateful if someone is willing to help. Thank you!

Savi's, Droid Depot, and the shops, what else is there that I shouldn't miss? Don't really plan on coming back a second time. Is doing Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom in one day feasible?

Hey, if you have a code for the forsworn trooper outfit in Fortnite/ a second code but don’t play the game. I’d really appreciate getting one but since i live in Europe it’s hard for me to get one since the ride is only available in America. If anyone would be so kind to send me one it would mean a lot to me. I’m a big star wars fan myself but sadly won’t be able to get the skin in any other way. I would really appreciate it but don’t feel forced to give your code away.

There is an exclusive Fortnite skin you get for attending this ride. the instructions are below. I can send whoever does it $50 via PayPal once you confirm to me you are in possession of a code.

While you’re in line, open the Disneyland app, make sure you’re logged in, and accept the special mission — do it before you ride. It prompts you to link your accounts but I think it should give you a code instead.
