Savi’s “Experience Only” FREE for Younglings: starting 5/22

Savi’s “Experience Only” FREE for Younglings: starting 5/22

Beginning on 5/22, younglings age 3-9, or those young at heart, can experience building a lightsaber at Savi’s workshop (West only) for free. Purchasing the lightsaber is NOT INCLUDED.

The schedule is supposed to drop on May 22nd.

This seems to be a great way for those that want to get the Savi’s experience, but don’t want to shell out $300 for the build.

Force Priestess - out of the Box

Here she is adorning my bookshelves. When I went back to buy her there were only two left - definitely glad I didn’t let this one pass me by. The original statue is my favorite thing in Galaxy’s Edge.

Are they actually strict about reservations?

Are they strict about the fact you have to be 18+ to book any reservation? Because I guess you do and they check ids. I just want to know if they actually enforce this rule or not.

Shipping?

So wasn’t going to, was going to get a legacy lightsaber, but decided to make a saber and just so happened to have an open slot a couple minutes after I got there.

My question, I decided to ship my hilt and blade with empire shipping. How reliable are they? I know they insure their shipments, but are they good at packaging and getting me the right items? I would take it with me, but it’s our honeymoon and don’t have the space to pack it

Im planning on going to galaxys edge next year, and ofc Im bounding!

But I want an in universe looking bag. Links appreciated! If on Amazon, even better!

I need it fairly bigish (i want to buy a lot 👀), a backpack style is preferable. Also, needs to be available in England!

Im going to be dressing like some kind of pilot/smuggler/scrapper, so dont really want it tied down tk any sides!

TIA!

Legacy Lightsabers collection

I see so many of you share your Legacy/Savi collections, and it’s inspired me to share my own.

I am not a fan of the sequels, and so, have not picked up any of them, and it’s doubtful I will. While I was not a fan of Acolyte, no one can deny Qimir’s lightsaber is cool AF. Most that have had an LE release, are from the LE edition. The Shadow Lord hilts are the three releases, without repeats (Ventress, Maul, Maul LE), the Cal is from the CE of the video game, so is not colour changing.

Next up, would likely be Qui-Gon, Dooku or Tyranus. We will see… running out of room… 😳

My lightsaber wall!

I love the Legacy and Savi's workshop lightsabers! The unique ones are my favorite and they are all amazing! I am moving into a new house and finally finished setting up my display! All the wall mounts were made by RedFive3D on Etsy. They are amazing and their products look amazing for all of the different souvenirs from Galaxy's Edge!

First Savi's + Haul

Was on Batuu West from 5/15 - 5/17. First place I went was to Doc's to try to find scrap from P&C V2 but didn't see any. I then went over to Savi's and asked if they had any and they told me they would let me build an entire P&C V2!

I've made reservations at Savi's probably half a dozen times in the past and have always canceled the day before. I'm so glad I finally did it! Thank you to the Gatherers!

Need Help Planning Trip for BF

hey guys!! i’m currently planning on going to galaxy’s edge in california with my bf. He and I are huge star wars fans and this trip is a surprise for him since he has never gone to Galaxy’s Edge. I was wondering if you guys have any tips on how we should go about our day trip there. I don’t know the names of much of stuff there either so if yall could give me like an idea of what you do at each place that’d be great since i see like the names savi’s workshop and oga’s cantina being used in this subreddit. also any tips on what areas we should visit first or not based on popularity sake and waiting time and how much stuff costs there like the blue milk, making your own saber, etc. We will be getting there an hour after they open on a tuesday since we are commuting far for it, so ik i can’t get to the ride of the resistance ride right when they open. So if you guys have any tips pls send them over, anything will help thx!!!

Great experience with Vi before last day

My girlfriend and I are locals and go frequently and never had this happen to us, we had spotted Vi outside docking bay and had a first time friend with us, so we said hi to her.

She came over and interacted with us and joked about our friends joke about having a crush on stormtroopers, asked if our friend would be able to help us or might betray us, we assured her that our friend meant no harm and was loyal to the rebel alliance.

Vi had us decide on a squad name and then act as cover and undercover imperial officers to help her sneak past some stormtroopers and get to Falcon. We walked with her and encountered some stormtroopers outside the milk stand who corned us and put us under investigation. We “had to” talk our way out of it before they dismissed us and we were on our way. At the falcon, we met up with Rey and wrapped up our mission, took pictures, talked with Rey and Vi for a minute, and they offered to give us lighting lanes onto Rise of the Resistance or smugglers run, we took them up on it for Rise and had an amazing Galaxys edge experience.

Genuinely never had such a “magical” Disney moment before, really hope the cast members got to stay somewhere in park. Made a cast compliment!

Would You Pay For A Dinner Show? Halcyon Lite Idea

UPDATE 1: There are apparently a couple of videos about this on YouTube for anyone who wants to get other opinions/ideas about this. Creators mentioned in comments.

Update 2: I agree with most of the comments, it wouldn't even need to be Halcyon themed (though I feel like they have all the stuff still from that). I'd be happy with a Jabba Cantina experience with Bounty Hunter actors, or really just any Star Wars Themed dinner theater experience.

Original Post: Okay, so I was just thinking about the Galactic Starcruiser and how they could incorporate a lot of the cool things from that into like a dinner show.

They'd only need one building in Galaxy's Edge. Guests make a dinner reservation and enter the lobby of the building where they can wait 'for transport.' Once it's time, guests enter side rooms themed to look like small transports that 'take them to the Halcyon." Doors open and you are in a much larger version of the Sunlight Lounge, complete with an alien band playing on a stage and space outside the windows.

Guests are seated and order. Before the show, the Captain could come around and stop at tables, take pictures, etc. and so could stormtroopers (or first order troopers). They could be checking ID's etc (especially now that Disney has that cool ID maker).

Dinner is served, main show begins and we get to see a cool alien singing, or acrobats, or whatever. Before desert, the show gets interrupted by a villain (Vader/Kylo) boarding the ship because there are rebels onboard. Could still have a lightsaber battle, etc. Show ends with the rebels escaping in a pod or one of the transports that brought us and the villain chasing after them. Captain apologizes for the interruption and offers 'free' dessert as compensation for your troubles. Band comes back on. Finish eating and 'return' back to Batuu.

I do realize it would remove a lot of the roleplaying aspect that made the Starcruiser so compelling but this would be a much more affordable option to have a Star Wars show and a new dining location. To bring back in roleplaying they could do audience participation in some bits. I don't know, ya'll could probably come up with better ideas for roleplaying guests but for guests who just want the show, this is more enticing than having to role-play in a two day hotel.

They could do the show twice a night (5pm and 7pm) and have a the Chandrila Collection Gift Shop, and really well themed restroom area that makes you feel like you're on the ship. Maybe they're doing the whole thing as a favor to Olga by letting some of her 'favorite customers' come on board for dinner and a show for one evening.

think it would be a lot of fun and a lot more manageable than a 2 night hotel experience.

Thoughts?

Finally built my lightsaber!

I chose Protection and Defense because I wanted an Old/High Republic type hilt style and loved how it turned out!
