The whole point of a sequel is to be better than the game that came before it and that’s exactly what 2 did. Better graphics, better combat, more weapons, way more suits, way better traversal, and better quality of life features. It’s a no brainer that 2 is the best in the series despite the trolls here on Reddit and the grifters on YouTube say. Newer is always better, it’s common sense.

Players didn't even scratch the surface of No Man’s Sky universe, apparently

Yes, it's all procedurally generated, but here are some cool facts:

- No Man’s Sky has 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets. Exploring even 1% of them could take over a million years

- At one planet per second, fully exploring No Man’s Sky would still take around 585 billion years

- Humanity would probably go extinct long before anyone fully explores No Man’s Sky

- Players may have barely scratched the surface of No Man’s Sky, despite years of exploration

- No Man’s Sky is so massive that seeing every planet would take longer than the age of the universe many times over

Rockstar is under enormous pressure for GTA 6 to succeed, with anything less than 20 million copies sold on day one likely being seen as a disappointment

From an interesting IGN article (yeah, I know, IGN).

  • GTA 6 will have to be one of the best-selling games of all time just to break even
  • This thing could make more money than Brazil and still trigger a bunch of layoffs

Here's the full article. It's a pretty cool read

Microsoft admits Windows has become too slow for gaming, wants to optimize drivers, remove AI bloat, make Windows 11 closer to SteamOS performance

  • Microsoft internally acknowledges that Windows 11 has lost user trust due to poor performance, bloat, and an overfocus on AI features.
  • "Windows K2" is a major internal initiative aimed at improving Windows 11 performance, reliability, and overall user experience. It is not a new version of Windows.
  • Microsoft wants Windows 11 gaming performance to get much closer to SteamOS, especially on handheld gaming PCs like the Xbox Ally and similar devices.
  • A new "Low Latency Profile" feature could:
    • improve app launch times by up to 40%
    • increase UI responsiveness by up to 70%
  • Some drivers are being moved from kernel mode to user mode to reduce BSODs and system crashes.
  • Microsoft reportedly plans to bring back several missing Windows features, including improved taskbar customization.
  • Windows K2 is largely seen as a response to growing comparisons showing SteamOS as faster, cleaner, and more efficient for gaming than Windows.

Crytek may be working on Crysis remake

A newly discovered Crytek job listing has reignited speculation that the studio could be working on a full Crysis remake instead of a brand-new sequel. Fans believe this would make more sense following the reported pause of Crysis 4 amid layoffs and financial struggles at the company.

Many players see a modern remake of the original 2007 Crysis as a safer and more realistic project for Crytek, especially after the mixed reception of the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. Rumors were further fueled by reports that Crysis 4’s game director left the studio in late 2024.

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, and the mysterious new project could also be related to Hunt: Showdown 1896, CryEngine, or an entirely new IP.

Some players are concerned about Subnautica 2 EULA

Some concerning points include:

  • Krafton can take away your access to the game at any point for any reason without prior notice
  • You are not allowed to USE A VPN or any technology that masks your location
  • You cannot modify the game illegally and if you do Krafton owns that modification
  • You cannot play the game on more than one device without purchasing additional licenses

But it seems like you don't have to worry too much on the clauses on EULA because it doesn't automatically act above consumer protection rights. So we're good.
