Ganglion cyst returned
I had a ganglion cyst on my wrist for 5 years. It started off small then kept getting bigger. My orthopedic told me he can’t drain it bcs of the location and ultimately I decided to get surgery Dec 2025. It has now come back and is painful. I went back and he told me the two options are to leave it or to get another surgery. Im not sure if I should get another surgery. Im nervous that it will just cause internal scar tissue to build up and cause me pain. I play video games so I’m not sure if that’s a factor. My ortho told me it’s likely not a factor.
Just wondering if anyone has had a cyst in the same location and had reoccurrence after surgery. Would you get surgery a second time? Should I get a second opinion? Some days the pain is like a 8/10 and others not so much. My overall fear is that I get surgery a second time and I’m in more pain than I am in now.
