Best watch ever?? Heck yeah!!!
I wear it every day, and get the most out of it on bike rides. I learn something new every day on the watch. The display is the clearest I have ever had in a watch in the sunlight.
It's a 45mm and I'm 7.2" wrist
Good morning!
Just grabbed this. Any suggestions for faces or features you guys love?
Hi. Other than the Southampton Garmin store (too far away) is there anywhere I can try the 45 and 50mm that anyone is aware of? I’m in the North East. Looking to change from an Apple Watch Ultra 1 and can get some good deals online but would rather try one on first!
Is my Instinct 3 Solar only showing sleep from midnight for some reason? What if I go to sleep at 10pm?
Also why is there no way to shut off the automatic sleep thing? I have mine set to one minute from 12.59pm to 1pm every day.
Hey Folks 👋
Made a minimalistic, kind of opinionated watch face - everything shows like command output: a prompt line up top, the big clock, then a few rows that can be customized out of 24 options and a blinking cursor. Monospaced pixel font (Terminus) so it stays clean and sharp. I just brutal something minimal that looks neat on the wrist. I think they look really nice on the ragged Instinct watches
Posted it on a few other subreddits and got a ton of feedback, so I've been shipping the stuff people asked for. You can now edit the prompt yourself (the name and the command word), added a few color styles (green / amber / white phosphor look), an option to hide the leading zero on the clock, nicer battery bars, and a bunch of smaller fixes. Still taking requests especially specific to instinct watches as I don't have one
Heads up it's for the AMOLED Instinct, not the MIP ones

Feedback welcome!
I use this watch for everything at work and while hiking I only take it off to shower
I'm debating on buying a Garmin watch, and which one. I'm currently leaning towards the Instinct E, mostly because of it's lower price compared to the rest (important point for a student like me. I'll use the watch mostly during working out (gym/running) for insights into my HR etc, and while hiking for the same but also for navigation. I won't sleep with it on or wear it the entire day, it's mostly for activities.
The biggest thing that's making me debate is the single-band GPS on the Instinct E. How does this fair on the trail? I'm aware the navigation is limited without maps, but I don't mind. If I need a map it's on my phone on my pocket.
If there's any other advice you have about this model or any other instinct model, would be greatly appreciated!
Hey all,
Picked up this instinct 2...its connected on Bluetooth but after many efforts I can't get it to pair with the app. I'd love any suggestions.
Edit/Update -- I finally got it paired. Thx!! Now to learn and enjoy
Hello all,
Instinct 2X:
I have an alarm set to 11:40 each day. In winter I was skiing and the alarm went off. I had the watch locked and could not unlock it without loosing a glove and therefore was not able to silence the alarm which went on for a long time until I was able to get off the lift and to remove a glove.
Is there a way to auto silence a specific alarm after some time? Is there some other way of silencing? The watch was button locked and the normal dismiss was not accepted because of the lock.
Me: wow. I slept terrible.
My watch: …….. ya.
Today I got a little problem that doesn’t last a lot, I just what to share if it happened to someone else 🤷♂️
I don’t think this is bad but I didn’t have enough restful moments?
Bought it last year analoge it. Holds up better then my old G Shock
I bought Fitbit Charge 6 during Prime Day, mainly because I wanted a dedicated sleep tracker. I still prefer my Garmin Instinct 2 for everything else.
What is confusing me is the sleep tracking. My Garmin almost always rates my sleep as Fair, but this device regularly gives me Good or Excellent, especially on weekends. The scores are consistently much higher than what Garmin reports.
Has anyone compared the two? Which one do you think is more accurate when it comes to sleep tracking?
Just want to thank the dev for making the web tool so easy to use, was an easy choice to get the premium membership. Going to keep at it since I like to switch faces regularly , going to play around with inverted or simple views when in different power modes as well.
