Doing military service right now and used my first salary for this😌

I’ve been holding off on a smart watch for some time now however, a recent hiking trip changed my mind. Scored this instinct 2 camo on Amazon brand new for $199. Love it so far, excited to take it out on some hikes and see what it can do. Any recommendations on setting it up or some features y’all like?

The bigger screen on the 50mm is SO-O-O much nicer and easier to read. That alone was worth the price

Hey everybody. Just out of the box and while playing with it, I wanted to ask the community.

I’m a fairly basic user. Meaning I’m only gonna use it for my workouts, dual time keeping since I’m travelling a lot, and basically not much more. I don’t even want to see my phone notifications or make payments with it.

So is it worth the risk getting new updates? My watch was about to update and I stopped it. Because I don’t see what I’m gonna gain from an update. I’m afraid of getting bugs as it happens with so many devices that get software updates.

Used it for 7 days after new and from use it will give me roundabout 8 to 10 days before charging. Lots of settings on, including notifications, connect, GPS only mode, about 1-2 activities per day with gps on, brightness 20%, gesture on after nightfall, custom watchface etc. Initially it showed me 22 days after full charge when I received it, but after updates today connecting with garmin express it settled on 28 days. So hopefully it will improve going forward. Coming from a Casio Protrek solar that lasted me 14 years without a battery exchange, it needs getting used to, but this watch is amazing for my needs so far. Got a 18cm (7 inch) wrist so think the 50mm would have been too big.

I tried this for just 2 days and can clearly see the battery is draining real slower than i expected.I guess watch face also has a role here. But it seems its really great!

Just got this on the 28th after a few months of waiting for a deal. Couldn’t get the all black one in 50mm unfortunately, but still… havent taken it off since I bought it :)
