For real though, I was trying to decide which device to bring on vacation... Took one look at Modello GMT watch face through the water and the Tactix Amoled won.

Have been using the Fenix 8 since it was released but lately it’s just been wearing so heavy, so I needed to switch it up.
Saw the AMOLED Tactical on sale and grabbed it. I have no need for the Tactical features, but I prefer the cleaner look of the circle inside than the cut outs on the regular AMOLED one.
Wasn’t vibing with my 50mm AMOLED so thought I’d try this slightly smaller Crossover. I’m loving the analog hands, so the AMOLED’s getting kicked to the curb. 10/10
Already sold on AMOLED for the screen quality. My only decision is base vs Tactical.
Honestly, my main reason for leaning Tactical is the aesthetics — I just like how it looks. But $150 is a significant jump and I'm not in the military or any field that would use the tactical features.
Is there anything functionally different enough to justify the price, or is it basically a cosmetic premium? Anyone here gone through the same dilemma? What did you end up picking and do you regret it?

Got my Garmin Instinct 2x solar this week. I bought it for tracking my runs, calories(overweight) and to guide me in hiking.
What battery life should I expect out of this under normal usage -> weekly 3-4 runs with GPS on, pulse ox off
I love my new instinct 2X but I have one frustration. I'm not really doing much cardio in the gym but I still want to track my heart rate during the entire workout.
My problem is two-fold:
I just want to track my heart rate with a reasonable accuracy during that 1ish hour, that's all.
How can I make the heart rate reading more accurate without using the chest strap?
How can I make sure to use the data from the strap when it's connected? (solved)

I’m very happy with my i3 tactical but I found a crazy deal on a 2x tactical and was wondering if it was worth picking up just to have? I’ve heard the legibility and what not isn’t nearly as good on them. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks.
My new I3 came in. Sold my tactix 8 and decided to replace her with this. Love it.
Is it normal to have a quick battery drain overnight? Like it drains 3% to 5%? I charged it last night to 100 and have 16 days left. When I woke up my battery has gone down to 95% at 15 days left. I have my pulse ox on manual and my watch is an instinct e 45mm.
Just got my Garmin Instinct 3 Solar last Friday and I’m already obsessed with this thing.
I’m a food delivery truck driver so I’m in and out of the truck all day, but I didn’t realize how much I actually move until I started tracking it. Honestly the watch has been motivating me to move more just from seeing the stats in real time. Solar charging is nice too because I barely even think about battery life.
Anybody else here using the Instinct 3 Solar for work/outdoor jobs? Curious how accurate y’all think the step tracking is compared to other Garmin watches or Apple Watch.
Looking to buy my first Garmin and have toyed with getting an Instinct since the original. For context, I’m coming from a Fossil Hybrid HR 42mm, so I have experience with MIP displays, analog/digital hybrids, and long battery times. I had an Apple Watch before, but never cared for it like the Hybrid HR.
It sounds like I’m leaning towards the Solar due to simplicity and battery, but I love the colors offered by the AMOLED and the prospect of having analog hands displayed.
My wrist size is 18cm, and I have another watch that is 46mm and fills my wrist out well. Should I stick with 45mm or push for the extra bulk of the 50mm?

Does the Instinct 3 Solar have the same battery issues the Instinct 1 Solar?
After years of my 1 slowly getting worse and worse it's finally unusable for more than a few hours. Garmin is offering me 25% off a new 3 if I send back the old one, but I don't want to have the same issues as before. Have they worked the bugs out?
