2023 G90 died during detail 😢

Basically the title. Locked up and the car was inaccessible. App wouldn’t work, door handles were in popped out status but still couldn’t open doors. Just bizarre. Genesis roadside assistance got it towed all the way to the Huntsville dealership, they are still in the process of trying to diagnose specifics. Anyone seen anything like this?

One Year with My 2025 Genesis G90: A Luxury Experience That Continues to Impress

After owning my 2025 Genesis G90 for just over a year, I can confidently say that it has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Having previously owned a Lexus LS500, I was accustomed to premium comfort and refinement, but the G90 has introduced a level of luxury and innovation that I simply didn't experience before.

One of the first things I noticed was the exceptional comfort of the seats. Whether I'm driving across town or embarking on a long road trip, they provide outstanding support. I recently drove from North Carolina to North Dakota, and unlike my experiences in the LS500, I never experienced the "buzzing" sensation that would often develop after spending extended periods behind the wheel. I believe much of this comes down to the G90's remarkable ability to isolate occupants from road imperfections and vibrations. The ride quality is exceptionally smooth, making long journeys noticeably less fatiguing.

Genesis has also packed the G90 with thoughtful features that genuinely enhance the driving experience. One of my favorites is the wellness function that automatically provides a massage and lumbar adjustment after an hour of driving. It's a small detail, but one that makes a significant difference on long trips. The climate controls, seat adjustments, and cruise control functions are all intuitive and easy to use, allowing me to focus on enjoying the drive rather than searching through menus.

The cabin itself is a sanctuary. It's incredibly quiet, aided by excellent sound insulation and active noise cancellation technology. The seats offer such a wide range of adjustments that finding the perfect seating position feels almost effortless. Even the integrated fragrance dispenser contributes to the overall ambiance, keeping the cabin feeling fresh and inviting.

Another feature I've come to appreciate more over time is the power-closing doors. As I've gotten older, conveniences like these become increasingly meaningful. Being able to simply push a button or press the brake pedal to close the doors feels effortless and adds a touch of sophistication every time I enter or exit the vehicle.

Navigation is another area where the G90 has surprised me. In my Lexus LS500, I relied almost exclusively on Apple Maps for directions. With the G90, however, I've transitioned  entirely to the onboard navigation system. It's intuitive, visually appealing, and has proven to be every bit as accurate as Apple Maps or Google Maps. That alone speaks volumes about how well Genesis designed the infotainment experience.

Wireless Apple CarPlay performs flawlessly, just as expected, and listening to music through the Bang & Olufsen sound system is an experience in itself. Combined with the cabin's active noise cancellation, the audio quality is rich, immersive, and truly premium.

Finally, the advanced driver assistance technologies deserve special recognition. Features such as Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Centering, and Highway Lane Change Assist work exceptionally well and inspire confidence on long highway drives. They reduce driver fatigue and provide an added sense of relaxation, especially during extended trips.

After a year of ownership, I still look forward to driving my Genesis G90 every day. It delivers the comfort, technology, and luxury I had hoped for, while introducing features I didn't realize I would value so much. For me, the G90 has not only met the high standards set by my previous luxury vehicles—it has surpassed them.
