projectile radius

can someone explain to me why genji needed the projectile radius nerf maybe im not understanding the consept but why do hitscan shots get to be 0.14m and genji projectile is 0.125 and new projectile hero GETS 0.26 2.08x THE SIZE with a faster travel rate what is the point of this genji decision was 0.175 really that oppressive?

Genji mythic

So we know that the new map is coming out in japan, this season seems to be Japanese themed, and the past has been one new mythic and a second mythic for someone in the midseason so i think it wouldnt be out of quetion to have genji's second mythic this midseason. The past two ppl that got a second mythic seemed to have the idea that the mythic should have more resemblance to the origin aka mercy - angle ana - eqypt mythology. Therefore Genji i assume it will be something uber japanese (maybe godly) related rather than something random. The problem is i think the original is very much genji with a japanese cyberpunk theme on steroids like how mercy's second mythic is mercy on steroids. So where do we go from here? maybe they go opposite and go super into old japan ninja/samurai which could be done super cool like shinobi/orochi from for honor or are they gonna go their common mythology route tsukuyomi moon god, raijin thunder god, fujin wind god, or make something maybe similar to hanzo mythic some kind of spirit dragon

what are your thoughts

Underrated genji skin?

I just really like this skin and I don’t see it very often at all

I hope that even when the great path is eroded, everyone will still remember their original intentions and uphold the Genji spirit.

Did you know that in Buddhist terminology there's a term called "the end of Dharma," meaning a time when the Great Way is about to perish and everything will descend into darkness? I'm a Genji player from Asia, and I'm saddened to say that the current version is the end of Dharma for Genji. I've been playing this game for ten years, and across several accounts, I've accumulated over 1000 hours of Genji play. My career highest rank was Master, and I even reached the top 500 on the Chinese server. I love playing Genji, but this version of Genji is just too weak. In high-level matches, about 7 out of 10 games will be painful for you.

Returning Player Looking to Main Genji

Returning Player — Played since Season 1 OW1
Peaked in Season 5 in Diamond playing Tracer / Ana

Genji has peaked my interest since I came back to the game. So I had a couple of questions.

How does Genji fare in today’s meta?
I noticed I had the 2018 Pacific Allstars skin. Is it still considered rare?

If he was nerfed cause of one less tank, why not revert this in 6v6?

You'd think that after everyone receiving more HP in Season 9 Genji would have something to compensate for dealing with larger heroes breakpoints (dash reset requires more effort). But since then (imo) he only gotten nerfs (besides reverting his ammo back to 30 and increasing his projectile speed that made him more of a poke character).

But I don't understand why THIS particular change wasn't reverted in 6v6. He has to deal with bigger HP pools and 2 tanks (even though both of them have less HP than in 5v5 but still). And moving to 5v5 is literally the reason why his damage was nerfed, then why not revert it in 6v6?

Genji and Juno dino nuggets interaction, fanart / comic by me :D

I love the new era skin for Genji, it reminds me of Raiden from Metal Gear Rising :D. I'm not sure if Genji also has a cybernetic second arm, if so, I'm sorry, but I hope you like it. Enjoy <3

Life steal perk

(Tried to cut the first useless 30 sec but it just becomes 30fps with bad quality), Doese any of u guys don't use the life steal perk? I barely find the melee perk useful, but when it comes to the life steal I always find it useful and it makes me blade with confidence especially if the enemy team are close to each other like in this clip making the blade useful in 2026

Skin Fashion Show

I'm hosting an Overwatch Fashion Show on Wednesday at 8.15pm UK time! If you're interested, either to showcase your best skins or just to vote and be part of the entertainment, here is the link for the server!

https://discord.gg/JEAeTtDtFm

It will also be streamed on TikTok.

It's just for fun, for laughs and for the community!

I'd love to see some of you there!

- Theme based skins & map based

I'm well aware that players have no control over skins, so it's going to be a mix between theme based, matching & map specific theme skins (such as Hanamura being Sakura skins, or closest to)

Genji QoL buff suggestion

Every other flanker has a way to engage and disengage a fight and sometimes even a defensive on top of that. Anran has 2 charges of blaze rush and blaze dance. Vendetta has 2 movement abilities plus block. Tracer has 3 blinks plus recall. Sometimes it feels that Genji can only fully commit or poke from a safe distance. Soft engaging with Genji is very difficult if the map geometry doesn't allow for flanks using your wall climb and double jump.

That being said, how would you feel if Genji's dash had a reduced cooldown if it was used but it did not deal damage? So say you use it as a gap closer and instead of its full cooldown duration, it was 4 seconds. This would let Genji soft engage and have his dash back as an escape shortly after or full commit to a burst combo if he sees an opportunity after engaging. I don't think it would break the character but make him more in line with the other flankers.

Why is Genji such a difficult character as a whole?

I have solo queued up to masters 3 and i think im beginning to get hardstuck here. Ive been pretty much one tricking Genji all the way up until this point. And im having a hard time understanding what more i can do to carry a game, and Genji as a character is starting to get frustratingly harder to play and do well as. Especially when characters like cassidy can seemingly kill me faster in a dive situation then i can kill them. I understand im not supposed to pick 1v1s against certain characters, but what do i do when all the characters they play are those? i also get so frustrated at the fact that Genjis blade loses most 1v1s against a tank that does not even have mode. I feel like even Cassidys ult is scarier in a 1v1 scenario against tanks.

And then theres the movement abilities, nearly every character i meet in ranked nowadays has multiple ways to just dodge your ultimate or retreat if you try to dive them. Like for example even Cassidys combat roll alone is enough for him to get out of range of your blade. I hate the fact that the ultimate on Reaper is a much safer approach to get kills i can just position myself and make my ultimate work 9/10. But while on Genji the game turns into a soulslike where you have to play everything perfect, and if you do you might just be able to do average on the scoreboard. While a Cassidy or a Reaper or a Tracer will topscore with the same amount of effort it seems like. The question im trying to ask is what is Genjis real value? Is he just supposed to distract the enemy team and be the most unexpected guy and hope that the enemy is not gonna predict his blade?

Something i dont understand neither is how powerless Genji is if the enemy has a pocket like a Mercy following one of their dps. Like what the hell? You gotta get close to hit your shots but if you do you get lasered by their boosted dps or if you try to hit their Mercy she can fly across the map to their teammate and parkour on you like crazy. But if youre on Cassidy you can pretty much twoshot both of the enemies still fairly easily, same goes for Reaper if you try to dive them. Its so much harder on Genji because his gun is a projectile. Please tell me what do i even do about a Mercy pocketing a dps on the enemy team, do i just let them live? Please i need feedback on all of this.

[Fan Art] My take on lady Genji

Haven’t played OW in a while, but I still love this cyborg ninja. Thought I’d share some old fan art—opinions welcome!
