My personal answer is yes. I have so much fun playing him, but I’m aware that he takes an immense amount of practice and work to even begin to hold up against someone who is brand new to Overwatch. Someone brand new to the game that plays soldier, reaper, anran, sierra, etc can absolutely decimate someone who has put 50+levels of time into genji. Again, I’ve put in a stupid amount of time into learning him and how to counter his counters, but it’s still obvious to me that most other characters just have to aim/ auto aim and the genji is no more.

This is just a subject for debate. I think if someone wants to go godmode on Genji, hell yeah, but it’ll take more effort and time than pretty much any other character. Thats also sort of why I enjoy playing him too. Most other characters to me are boring.

What are your thoughts and experiences on the subject??

Also just for context I’m GM 2-1 and rank 86 genji. Doesn’t really matter, but the people I play with and against do have an impact.
