Home Office forced to teach migrants that rape is wrong and women are equal to men
Men, what is your opinion on topless equality?
I am very curious to hear male opinions on topless equality between men and women. Like for example women being able to go topless in spaces where men are free to be topless like the beach or pool. I have been thinking about this a lot recently coming back from Germany to the USA.
This has been asked before in this sub but not many answers. I would really love to hear your genuine and serious opinion, please don't comment if you are just going to say "i like to see boobs hahaha" or "yucky only old women will take their top off". The question is not "do you like boobs" or "what kind of boobs do you want to see on the beach". I am more interested in if you think it should be legal and why or why not. Thank you.
CMV: In Ukraine just as well as any other country where there is mobilization, women should have been drafted too.
As a woman and real old school feminist I say this. I'm against forceful draft but if needed, it's extremely sexist only men to be conscripted.
For example, me a single woman, who doesn't even plan kids wouldn't be more missed than a father and husband let's say. I would understand childless/child free young healthy individuals of both genders to be drafted rather than men who are needed at home. Now arguments that are often used and I want to debunk.
Women continue the nation - actually no, if we go by it, children often inherit their Dad's nation, women tend to be less nationalistic and en masses more likely to mix and Ukrainian women do it too in big numbers (I'm not blaming). I know more Ukrainian women already settled with different foreigners who adapted than with Ukrainian men. For example I'm Croat because majority of males in my family are Croats but otherwise I have Ukrainian Grandma, Serbian one too and a lot of Bosniaks back then. We had wars in the 90s too but let's we were all Yugoslavia and are very close genetically and culturally, once again my Ukrainian Grandma was the one who married Croat Grandpa and adapted to his culture, his language only carrying Ukraine in her heart but eventually forgetting the language and living in then Yugoslavian culture.
That women are care-givers - again sounds pretty sexist just like the hypothesis that they are gonna be mothers. So what for those single ones? How do you know where they gonna stay, who they gonna look for, if they even plan kids and if their kids would be Ukrainian (not just genetically but culturally).
Sexual Assault - obviously most women's biggest fear when deployed however we have been shown with or without women, men are getting RAPED too. They are getting raped, sexually abused, castrated and often killed after. Rape in war is not due to attraction but it's used as welfare and act of power and domination and Russians are some of the most vicious one in this. They even post their raped of POWs on Telegram... isn't it a bit rude and very discriminatory to say "better men be raped than women".
French government denies men access to the national helpline for victims of domestic violence
In an open question about rather men should have access to the national helpline for victims of domestic violence, the Ministry for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination replied:
"Opening the 3919 helpline to a mixed audience would effectively undermine its fundamental purpose and dilute the specialized response provided to female victims. Such a shift would also risk weakening the awareness-raising message aimed at the general public by obscuring the systemic nature of violence against women and the gender dynamics at play in domestic violence."
Instead, they invite men to call 2 other helplines, one being for victims of an offense (crimes against property or persons, traffic accidents, mass-casualty incidents, terrorist attacks or a natural disaster), and the other for general legal aid, and even recommend specialized associations, such as SOS Homophobia.
