Why did Vic Lie to Chingys bouncer

George could have simply shown the bouncer Carmen is missing flyer and tell him his 15 year old daughter is in there?

George and the 2000’s

I truly think George slayed the entire decade of the 2000’s. His show, his great performance as Mr. Electric/Mr. Electricidad on Sharkboy and Lavagirl, his TBS late night talk show, all his comedy specials. He carried that entire decade on his back.

George in college

George was starting to annoy me when he went back to school, I don’t blame the professor for going off on him. He could even understand recession and depression. I like George, but damn, he just annoyed me.

What do you guys think of Jack and Mel’s characterizations?

From what I’ve seen, Jack is meh (not a great person but not too bad either; his worst characterizations seem to be greed and apathy but that’s it), whereas Mel is pretty slimy (terrible father, terrible husband, and doesn’t see any issue with hooking up with his employee’s niece).

Angie giving George a list of chores in S05

Hello all! I'll be the first to say, I don't think George Lopez is a great character. He's rude, childlike, and immature, but I seriously don't like what Angie did in S05 when George temporarily moves out. Handing him a list of chores? Delusional as hell.

George giving his kidney

I got so annoyed that George actually agreed to give Manny his kidney after everything he has been through because of him. Also to risk anything happening to himself when he has a family and kids he built on his own without the help of manny. Manny also never even really speaks to Angie or the kids, just comes in when he needs something after all these years

Am I the only one bothered by the way George and Angie acted during the climax of Girls night out

In the episode Angie has ex-gang member Marisol stay with the family after she moves out of her abusive ex junior's house but she and George came to regret the decision when they found out Marisol took Carmen to a club without their permission. I can understand they were worried about their daughter because they found out she was at a club and it was 1:00 in the morning not to mention they learned junior was at the club but the way they reacted to the situation always rubbed me the wrong way. At first neither of them bought marisol's reasons for doing what she did as wanting to help Carmen and when Carmen told her dad Marisol said she needed to be more like her George said something along the lines of "yeah that's a good role model Carmen a homeless trollop with an abusive boyfriend." "You know I think they have their own window at the unemployment office". It's no secret George disliked Marisol from day one but to make jabs about her situation especially the homeless part I think could be an equivalent of "slut shaming" which his own daughter was a victim of. Also even though she was mad Marisol put her daughter in danger the way Angie worded it when confronting her made her sound self-centered to me as if what Marisol did was a personal betrayal to her not to mention she made jabs about marisol's relationship with junior even though that's a touchy subject. Plus even if you don't agree with the points I make I feel they weren't being fair to Carmen. At first they forced her to share her room with Marisol then they ground her indefinitely even though Angie was the one who brought her in the house in the first place I mean sure she knew better than to go to a club but she was desperate not to let the cycle repeat itself at her new school and at least they know she wasn't drinking or anything. I feel it's no wonder Carmen became rebellious in later seasons. Although considering the next episode showed Carmen going to her new school with no mention of her being grounded it's possible her parents just needed time to cool off and they eventually reduced her punishment. Maybe I'm taking this a little too personally because Marisol was one of my favourite characters and I wished she had stayed on the show so therefore I'm downplaying the reality of the situation.

I can’t believe Carmen was that in denial

After Jason left Carmen, she had the audacity to put on a wedding dress, when she should’ve known that Jason was not coming back after she said she wants to make a baby to get married. I can’t believe the writers turned her into a very lovesick person, they should’ve kept her hating on Jason, after he cheated on her!

One of my favourite funny Carmen moments

I was rewatching season 3 episode 12, as I was cleaning my dad's house

The scene where George finds a pregnancy test in the bathroom bin. He asks Carmen if she peed on it and she says, "Is it yours? I'm so sorry if I did" or something ridiculous along those lines.

I also felt the writers really made her dumb at times. I get she was a teenager but at the same time, what 16-year-old wants to lose their virginity with their "BFF" watching (teddy bear)? Then came the pregnancy test scene.

George and 5th Grade

I rewatched some episodes when I noticed something.

In the episode where Jason tutors Max, When George and Angie are having a discussion, Angie suggests that Max should be held back a year because he’s not taking the tutoring lessons seriously. George refuses to let that happen and looks for another way to help their son.

In another episode (the one where George gives up), when they find out that Max is purposely misbehaving as a way to cover for his failing grades, it’s mentioned by his teacher that he’s gonna repeat the 5th grade, and again George refuses to let that happen because according to him, no one in the Lopez family has ever failed the 5th grade.

I guess for George, 5th Grade is an important milestone in his family.

Or am I looking too deep into this?

A dream about George

I had a dream about me watching a scene with George and Angie, and the funny thing I see George shirtless, and all of a sudden he had a very gorgeous body, pecs, abs, and everything. I know in real life, George didn’t really have all that. Even Angie was saying, George’s pecs were distracting her. Right now, I’ve only seen two photos of George shirtless, one when he was in his early 20’s, and the other holding Mayan when she was a baby!

Angie Dressed as a Nurse

I forgot just how cringy and delusional she is throughout this entire episode. She was really going to leave George at home and go to his work party without him, just to prove a point.

George and Carmen

I can’t believe that George said that Carmen would never have any potential when she found poetry as her passion. Early season George wouldn’t act this way in front of Carmen. I truly hope that in the later seasons, Carmen deserves the respect she needs from her dad.

What if George never ruined Jerry Springer and Benny’s relationship?

I think it was nice that Benny got a good ending with Wayne because it toned her down a bit. When George told her the truth she probably felt the same when she found out Manny was rich
