I think mordecai could find another job but probably have to live back with his parents for a while. since he does have both a drivers license and his high school diploma but can’t just slack off as much anymore since the next boss probably won’t give him so much slack.

In an episode of bojack horseman, it flashes back to 2007 and plays a song that’s obviously in the style of black eyed peas. it’s called Generic 2007 Pop Song
one of the lyrics goes “this ain’t 2006, it’s 2007”
basically in the same vein as “im so 2008, you’re so 2000 and late.”
someone at the writing team seems to parody the song for 2007 which if the song did come out then the lyrics would make sense but apparently it released in 2009. My guess is they also remembered it as 2008 and 2000 and late.
Not sure if this was asked but clothes there tends to be made for smaller and thinner people In general. Imagine being 6 foot 2 as a woman in china, Japan, South Korea.

in the movie nacho libre about a Mexican priest who wants to wrestle to earn money for orphans which seems to take place in 1970s Mexico, if they won a fight it would net them 200 pesos. Not sure if that was each but it apparently seemed to be more than enough to feed an entire orphanage for an entire week. Considering the fact they lose and get less money but can still feed the whole orphanage and buy other stuff as well, was 200 pesos just a ridiculous amount of money at the time, were groceries that cheap, can anybody break down how much that would actually be and if it was too much.

in spanish one example I’ve heard is that Caiman and Alligators are both called Caiman, even though both are different species. English differentiates the too of them. I think there are some languages where they don’t even have a word for a direct animal which is odd since you’d think there’d be a zoologist or someone that would try to name it or at least take on a loan word for it.
