Why do you think Excalibur is being ignored so far?

Right now going into season 2 it seems like we're gonna see both versions of X-Factor and X-Force. And people from both the Blue and Gold teams of the X-Men are already core cast members.

But we have nothing for Excalibur. The only person from that team we've seen is Nightcrawler and he's completely removed from the team that he actually spent the 90s as a part of.

I would love to see some of that team in season 3 or something.

Ironically, those without a displayed status are the ones many fans are asking about.

Bishop and Forge can't seem to locate some of the most requested X-Men. No Emma, No Kitty, No Bobby.

What did Charles see here ?

What did Charles see here ? Was it a vision of the future ? Was it a fellow X men dying ? Or was it a revisit of a vision from season 1 about a certain scoundrel only this time it confirms the worst ? What do you guys think he saw ?

My Feral Wolverine Theories

We already know the comics won't be strictly followed because Tyler Dayspring/Genesis hasn't been introduced. There will definitely be some type of "workaround" in how Logan goes feral and then completely gets his Adamantium back.

Here are a few theories on how we might get "Feral" Logan...

  1. Morph turns into Wolverine and is doing the classic "come here" pose during a fight with someone. This is before he, Logan, Deathstrike, and Sabretooth get to the room that has all the "laser discs". This is also why there is a "metal" sound when the claws come out. Something fails during the Adamantium feed and Logan goes into his feral state.

  2. That is indeed Logan doing his classic pose, after he gets his Adamantium back. His body then somehow rejects the Adamantium due to an error in the process. We hear a monstrous roar and then we see him change into his feral state.

  3. We get Feral Wolverine right off the bat at the start of the season without a failed re-bonding of Adamantium. The trauma that Magneto put him through was enough to turn him feral. At the end of the trailer, we see Logan, along with Sabretooth, Deathstrike, and Morph. When we actually see the episode, Wolverine will be in his "feral" uniform and the Adamantium bonding is just about to begin... But then Apocalypse appears with Gambit as Death. He orders Gambit to kill Morph and Deathstrike and then has Sabretooth reveal himself as being on his side. He then has Sabretooth show off his own Adamantium claws. Wolverine and Sabretooth then battle. Wolverine defeats Sabretooth. Apocalypse strips the Adamantium from Sabretooth, bonds it to Wolverine's skeleton, and then we have Wolverine as "War". He then does his classic pose.

Also, in the trailer, we see Wolverine in his classic costume in the big group shot where Cyclops, Jean, and Beast are in their X-Corp uniforms. I'm thinking that's a Red Herring and when that particular episode comes out, they will change it to his "feral" uniform and it will be before the Deathstrike/Sabretooth scene.

Psylocke Is BETSY’S Legacy, And Betsy Deserves Her Own Psylocke Arc, coz Betsy Made Psylocke Iconic.

Can they please not do this??? Why do they always need to make it Kwannon? BETSY DESERVES her own story and screen time as Psylocke.

Betsy MADE Psylocke the icon she is today. She created the identity, the legacy, and it was HER powers, personality, and presence that made Psylocke so iconic in the first place. Kwannon was originally just a low-level telepath, while Betsy brought so much more depth, character, and emotional complexity to the role.

I honestly don’t care if the body-swap storyline was complicated. Psylocke’s story DESERVES to be adapted properly in animation, and they can absolutely make a cleaner and better version of it for modern audiences.

And at the end of the day, it’s BETSY’S legacy. There’s SO much material they can explore with her:
- her deep relationships with the X-Men
- her romance with Warren
- her moments with Sabretooth
- Mojo and Spiral
- The Hand storyline
- Lady Mandarin
- her struggle with identity and darkness

Betsy’s bond with the X-Men has always felt richer and more emotionally impactful during the 90s era, and that’s exactly the era the show is adapting. There’s enough content for an entire future season arc or even a standalone animated movie centered around her journey.

My hopes for S03

It does not look like any of this 4 will be in season 2. Which is fine because the X-Men world is huge and I'm very excited they're introducing at least two other teams. But I do hope they won't overlook Emma, Kitty, Bobby and Illyana. And eventually give them their spotlight.

What will be Polaris' role in Season 2?

There had been rumours about a fairly well known name being cast as the voice actor for Polaris a few months ago, which ended up not being the case. But as the leaked trailer and the promotional images for the season have shown, Polaris is a part of X-Men '97 Season 2, and possibly in a big way.

The promotional images suggest that she'll be on X-Factor and then join X-Corp. What kind of role do you think she'll play in the season, and what would you like to see?

Ok, if you were asked to pitch ideas for a brand new X-Men show, what do you do? (Pic semi-related)

However, to make this thread MUCH more interesting (read: funnier), IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GRIMDARK AND SERIOUS AND MATURE AND PRESTIGE like 97, you can do whatever you want, even, yes, have a lighter tone. This Is not me saying "pitch your own show", it's more like "let's make a silly little list of funny situations to place these sillies in for out amusement", like, I dunno, "Beast gets trapped in Mojoworld, forced tk host a talk show there, interviews (constructs of) famous scientists in the Marvel universe (Reed, Tony, the other Hank, etc.)". Let's make a random episodic X-Men show, I dare you to!

Plus, here's my little Black Rogue doodle! Made It in about 15 minutes, inspired by supposed Keke Palmer as Rogue casting rumors :)

Ok, I want you to pitch ideas for a new X-Men cartoon that could be made today. HOWEVER...

...this show will have a MUCH lighter tone than 97, closer to, say, the original show or early Evolution. I feel like we don't get many lighthearted superhero shows anymore, especially episodic ones (maybe we do, but not many). Plus, you could totally have the themes of X-Men work even for a much lighter show. Plus, I feel like superhero animation works perfectly with a "mostly episodic, occasional multi-parter" setup, IMO. Pitch random ideas away, I guess :)
