Reporting to Credit Bureau
My first CC statement was generated 3 days ago but still isn't appearing as an account on Equifax.com. Does that take time to show?
I got the card using an ITIN.
Paze Credits Given To Me After 7 Business Days (Cap1 VX)
On August 10th I was able to make 10 transactions on the Dunkin’ Donuts app by sending myself 10 gift cards to my email back to back. I was surprised because before this I wasn’t able to make one gift card transaction since the Paze promotion started. 7 business days later, on August 18th I was already credited for the $100 Paze credit. What are the most transactions you guys have been able to do in a day? Also has anyone received their Paze credits yet ?
Update on quicksilver
I got an email saying my Quicksilver is getting 3% back on groceries and gas. Does anyone know if all the new cards being sent out are Discover now, or are some still Mastercard? I absolutely LOVE my Mastercard 😭🤣
I went had a score in the 400s earlier this year & i just got approved for a savor
i spent my 20s messing up my credit. This year i started going hard paying off debt & i've paid 20k off . 90% of my collections (1 left) , all my credit cards paid down to 0. Score still sucks and i still have student loans , but im almost there. I'll be debt free by next year. It feels good to finally get approved for a card that isn't crap. I just called to cancel my HUE credit card after i got approved for savor. i plan on cancelling my other crappy low limit cards this year once i start getting CLI on the cards i have. I'm just excited im starting to see my hard work pay off. Anyone who's thinking about giving up, DONT! keep going!! i can finally see the light!!
Quicksilver Discover Network CC
Has anybody made the switch so far? Is the card design the same?
CapitalOne Savings Account - How to use offers?
Hi all,
My discover account transitioned to a CapitalOne savings account. I do not have a physical card for this account but see plenty of eligible offers for discounts at online retailers. How can I use these offers knowing that I do not have an associated Credit or Debit Card?
Thanks!
Finally got an increase!
1 year and 4 months later got a decent limit increase!! I thought I was bucketed.
Can I extend car rental with Capital One Travel?
My car was in repair at the garage. I asked the service advisor for the minimum number of days I had to book rental car, he said that he would contact the technician. It took time, I had to book on Capital One Travel so I chose 3 days for 8,365 Miles with pickup at the airport, I chose 3 days because it took 3 days before he gave me a diagnostic. The next morning, the advisor is telling me that the car will be ready at 2pm, so I returned the rental car after 1 day only. So I lost miles for 2 days of rental car.
Next time it happens for a repair, if I book for a 1 day only, is it possible to easily extend the rental car through Capital One Travel without having to return the car at the airport after 1 day and then take another car from a second Capital One Travel reservation?
Savor vs AMEX blue cash everyday right now
I recently got the venture x about a month ago. My credit score went down a bit and is at 720. I want both the savor and BCE eventually for dining, gas and online shopping. I don’t know how long it’ll take for me to get the Savor card. I checked using AMEX preapproved tool and saw I could get the BCE card now. Should I wait to get BCE and get the savor card first (probably will take 6 months from
Now) or should I get the BCE card now? Would that delay my chances of getting savor later?
I really just need help about this restricted account
I messed up and tried to make multiple payments to my cc acct and it became restricted to verify my paying accounts. I sent in my statement and they called back today. I missed the call and the phone number they provided was not the capital one number. I called the capital one number on the card and spoke to the fraud department who told me send in another verif of the account because they needed to verify the entire account number, statement only has last 4 of the acct number. I sent it in and the person stated that they have the document but will call me from another number to verify that this is my phone number that I'm calling them from and then for me to call my bank to verify.
This felt sketch and I told them I'll just wait the 1-10 business days for them to review the document again and hung up. Is this normal?
Should I make my limit higher? New to this. Will it benefit my score?
I’m getting a quicksilver secure card, and currently have $200 deposited. Should I deposit more before I activate the card?
Capital One goodwill request keeps getting treated as an accuracy dispute
I had 9 late payments on a Capital One card between Aug 2024 and Nov 2025 which stemmed from a rough patch when I left a job under pretty bad ethical circumstances (won’t get into all of it, but it caused a real income gap). Account’s been current since Feb 2025, balance is basically paid off, autopay’s on, no issues since.
I’ve reached out multiple times. calls, emails to executive escalation contacts, (no mailed letters though) specifically asking for a goodwill adjustment on the lates. Every single time, the response I get back is some version of “we’ve verified the information is accurate and it will continue to report as-is.”
That’s… not what I asked? I’m not disputing that the lates happened. I know they happened. I’m asking if they’d show some grace given the account’s been perfect for over a year and the balance is paid. But every rep and every written response treats it like I filed an accuracy dispute instead of a goodwill request, and then “resolves” it by telling me the info checks out.
Has anyone actually gotten a goodwill adjustment out of Capital One specifically? Did you find a different contact, a different phrasing, a different channel that actually got a real human to consider the goodwill angle instead of auto-routing it into their dispute/verification process? Or is Cap One just known for being tough about this compared to other issuers?
Appreciate any input… it feels like I’m hitting the same wall every time no matter how I approach it. Smh 🤦♂️
Savor student card
Back in may I got the savor student so that I could start building credit, and got a credit limit of $3000 and though that was pretty high for a college student working part time, but now I’m seeing a lot of people with starting credit limits of 300-500 and really wondering why I was given such a high limit on my first credit card, had zero credit history before this as well.
Can an authorized user of a credit card add their own SSN later?
I want the authorized user to get online access but I don't want to be the one to input their SSN. Is this something they can do on their own by calling Capital One?
Capital One closed my Venture X with ~500,000 miles for "security purposes" and won't reopen my acct
I’m posting this because I’m at a loss with Capital One and I’m curious if anyone else has dealt with something similar.
I had a Capital One Venture X with roughly 500,000 Capital One miles accumulated on the account.
In March, I started transferring my points to Japan Airlines via their transfer bonus, so that I could book some business class flights.
CapitalOne then said they needed some additional verifications (Passport, Drivers License) and locked my account.
I submitted the documents weeks after (Had to get a new Drivers License due to damage), and CapitalOne rejected ALL documents, and said they can't share why. I uploaded 5+ times, mailed in physical photocopies of license, passport, and SSN, and they only said we can't verify this.
In June, CapitalOne closed the account entirely and said they can't give me the rewards because it's under fraud.
Today, I call CapitalOne to complain again and now that the account is closed, they can live verify me by texting me a 6 digit code, and the account is no longer locked?? I called 20+ times and nobody was able to live verify until now when the account is closed?
I've already spent a significant amount of time on the phone trying to get an answer.
Has anyone had Capital One close an account with a large rewards balance? Please help, I'm at a loss on what to do :(
Random credit limit increase?
Got my first card a few months back since I figured I needed to start building my credit and a platinum card didn’t seem as predatory as some other cards. Got a $300 limit which felt like more than enough for starting out. Just checked this morning though and my credit line randomly jumped to 3k? No email or notice or anything like that. What do I even do here? Assume the adjustment was made in error? I don’t even think it’s been 6 months yet.
Capital One Venture X finally unrestricted after 27 days
After 27 days of my Venture X being restricted, Capital One finally removed the restriction today.
The restriction happened basically right after I received the card.
I had made a relatively small purchase (1500) and suddenly the account was restricted. I sent in all the documents they asked for and spent weeks calling, waiting, and doing additional verification.
What’s crazy is that they only finally unrestricted the account after I told them I was ready to close it completely if they couldn’t resolve this. After that, things suddenly moved and the restriction was removed.
The app is now showing my available credit again and everything looks back to normal.
Definitely one of the most frustrating credit card experiences I’ve had, but after 27 days, it’s finally over.
